What are the chances that this unofficial Metal Gear Solid remake won't get shut down?

Pretty damn low!
Jan 18

I hate to be a downer, because I'm all for seeing Metal Gear Solid rendered all pretty-like in Unreal Engine 4. But when you make an unofficial remake of something that doesn't belong to you, and the owner is Konami of all co...

Obscure Video Games: Wai World 2

Dec 05 // Obscure Video Games
While Wai Wai World 2 is mostly an action-platformer, it does mix things up a little every once in awhile. For example, one level has you flying TwinBee though what looks like the overworld map of an 8-bit JRPG. Another level has you doing sliding-tile puzzles while a timer counts down. You even get to choose your path through the game, so there's no way to see everything without playing through a few times. It's a pretty short game, so may actually want to do this. I enjoyed my time in Wai Wai World, and I'd recommend you give it a chance. There's a full fan translation patch available; and though it's not really necessary, it is nice to know what's going on. I'll leave you with this video of the boss battle from the Castlevania (or is it Kid Dracula?) level, as it nicely sums up this noisy, crowded game. [embed]323938:61351:0[/embed]

Not another mascot platformer!

You can bring back a certain buddy in Metal Gear Solid V

But the process is repetitive
Nov 10
// Jordan Devore
As of a recent update in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, it is now possible to bring back a beloved buddy who becomes unusable after you progress far enough into the story. But you're not going to like the method. In a game full of padding, there's now just a little bit more repetition. To be clear, you'll want to stop reading now if you're looking to avoid specifics. Spoilers.
