Most of us were looking forward to the release of Anticipation Simulator 2015 next fall, so it comes as quite a letdown to hear it's been delayed. This morning, Logjam Studios sent out a rather longwinded press...

Luigi's death glare moves 885,000 US Mario Kart copies

C'mon, you're going to tell me that's not what's doing it? What, is it that Mario Kart 8 is fun? That it's familiar? That it's a Mario Kart game? Nope. All Luigi, baby. That's what you get in 2 anno Luigi. No matter the ...

Vivendi considered firing Activision's Bobby Kotick over last year's buyout

Last year, Activision Blizzard orchestrated a buyout of then-parent company Vivendi to separate from Vivendi and become an independent company. I wrote this great headline about the split --Active-fission -- and stared w...

Neversoft burns the eye, gives out knives for studio's last day

As part of merging with Call of Duty's Infinity Ward to make a "super-studio," it is the last day of Neversoft as its own studio. The eye, perhaps made most famous by Tony Hawk's Pro Skater was burned in ceremony and everyone in the studio was given a knife Crocodile Dundee would be okay with. RIP in peaces, Neversoft.

Help us decipher this Battleborn tweet from Gearbox's Randy Pitchford

This morning, Gearbox Software announced its next game, Battleborn, a cooperative first-person shooter that has elements traditionally found in multiplayer online battle arenas like League of Legends. Or, put another way: Perfect. I've been in the market for a hobby-grade co-op campaign with meta-growth and choice.

Nintendo's humorous shareholder Q&A summarized photo
Nintendo's humorous shareholder Q&A summarized
by Jordan Devore

Jonathan told you how Nintendo's 74th annual general meeting of shareholders came across like a bad comments section. Now, here's that meeting in-depth as translated by Nintendo itself.

Notably, CEO Satoru Iwata was absent due to his health (please understand), but Shigeru Miyamoto and Genyo Takeda were present to field most of the questions. Some of them were pretty out there, like the one from a shareholder who proclaimed he was angry because he didn't understand gaming and god forbid Nintendo talk about gaming at its meetings. Good stuff.

If you'd rather have the short (but not too short) version, I've summarized some of the best bits.
