Zynga's Draw Something game show coming to CBS

I fell in love with, became addicted to and later swore off mobile drawing game Draw Something over the course of 3 days. I deleted the app, washed my hands of it, and never spoke of it again. Zynga paid about $200 million to...

Finally! Hironobu Sakaguchi's surfing game is almost done

Review: Space Ark
by Alasdair Duncan

You know that when the main characters of the game you're about to play are adorable animals like cats and penguins, you're possibly playing a game aimed at children. A few months ago, I played Shaun The Sheep: Home Sheep Home 2 and found that despite the game being made for children, there was still a lot of fun to be had.

New details of Spicy Horse's Big Head Bash revealed! photo
New details of Spicy Horse's Big Head Bash revealed!
by Conrad Zimmerman

Last year, Spicy Horse (the Shanghai-based development studio founded by American McGee in 2007) began to focus on developing casual, free-to-play titles for social platforms. Now, the fruits of that labor are starting to manifest and Big Head Bash, one of three projects the studio is currently working on, is shaping up to be rather interesting.

In Big Head Bash, players are transported to a virtual toy store where the toys just can't seem to get along. Armed with all manner of bizarre and fantastic weapons, they wage a constant battle with one after the store closes for the night. Players will control one of these toys in team-based, 2D platforming arenas, racking up kills to earn new toys and new weapons to wreak still more havoc with.

A new Kinect blockbuster: Wreckateer photo
A new Kinect blockbuster: Wreckateer
by Dale North

Take the flinging action of Angry Birds and the chained destruction of Boom Blox, add Kinect control and you'll have some idea of what Iron Galaxy's upcoming title Wreckateer is like. It's castle-busting game play is really easy to get into, but getting the most destructive bang for your bomb takes a bit of work.

Wreckateer has you working as the demolition man of an unconventional medieval destruction company. You'll work to take down dozens of old, monster infested castles with unique projectiles shot from a huge ballista. In each stage you're given a set number of shots, and you'll send them off into these castles to pull in the highest score by doing as much damage as possible.
