BloodRayne writer recalls the sideshow that is Uwe Boll

I'd wager that, nine times out of ten, directors don't set out to make a bad movie. Nobody in their right mind wants to fail. Unfortunately (or quite fortunately, depending on your perspective), Uwe Boll has never been in a ...

BloodRayne: Betrayal's rockin' soundtrack hits Bandcamp

Okay, so maybe Jim didn't care for WayFoward's reboot of the BloodRayne franchise with last week's release of BloodRayne: Betrayal, but I'm here to tell you that it wasn't all bad. The game's soundtrack, composed by Jake Kauf...

Review: BloodRayne: Betrayal photo
Review: BloodRayne: Betrayal
by Jim Sterling

Very few people can claim to love BloodRayne as a franchise, and there's a reason for that. The original titles were critically derided, the series of Uwe Boll movies are particularly grotesque, and the comic books are obscure as Hell. However, when someone's looking for fans of BloodRayne, they need look no further than myself.

So, when news of a new BloodRayne game dropped, I was beyond excited. The fact that it appeared to be taking its cues from Castlevania was an added bonus, and the stage was set for a game that would finally make BloodRayne a respectable series as opposed to an eternally guilty pleasure.

However, this game's name -- Betrayal -- is stunningly appropriate, because I feel like I've been stabbed in the back.

BloodRayne: Betrayal delayed to September 6

Have some new BloodRayne: Betrayal screens

BloodRayne: Betrayal releases this month and HNNNNNNNG, I can't wait. I've waited five bloody years for a new BloodRayne game, and not even Satan's penis could stop me from getting hold of it.  Unless it's a really nice penis.  Anyway, here are some new screens of the game, which is looking more pretty every time I see it. Game's out August 31, which is far too far away.

BloodRayne: Betrayal dev on making Rayne less 'sleazy' photo
BloodRayne: Betrayal dev on making Rayne less 'sleazy'
by Jim Sterling

In this exclusive BloodRayne: Betrayal developer diary, WayForward talks about the design of Rayne, and how they went for "slinkier and sexier" as opposed to the over "sleaze" of previous games.

While she's still as sultry as ever, Rayne is a little more modest this time around. Some fans may be disappointed by the reduced buster size and less revealing clothing, but what are you gonna do? The game looks turbo hot regardless of Rayne's jubblies, and that's what really matters.

Check out this video, only on Destructoid (for a bit).

BloodRayne: Betrayal screens are quite squirty
