Roaches beware: Terra Formars title headed for 3DS

According to the latest issue of Weekly Young Jump, a Terra Formars game is headed for 3DS, for lots of maximum roach-killing action. It's like a can of Raid, but for your Nintendo handheld. The game, tentatively titled Terra...

I have no objections to the fact that Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is out in December

I'm really loving the idea of bringing back the Phoenix Wright trilogy on new systems. iOS was a great way for people to experience the series for the first time, and now, you can get a little more traditional with the 3...

You can fly around in the clouds in the new Pokemon and oh my god this is amazing

New details are coming out for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire by way of the CoroCoro magazine, and it's looking good. Not only do Latios and Latias have Mega Evolutions, but Megas for Pidgeot and Beedrill are...

Smash Bros. Amiibo up on Amazon for $13 a pop

The Super Smash Bros. Amiibo figures are up on Amazon and, as much as I try not to get excited about toys, they look pretty alright.  I will just take solace in the fact that the only piece of nerd junk that crowds my desk, a little two inch Luigi that I bought for one dollar (not 13!) in Chinatown (not the movie!), is better.

Nintendo Download: Bayonetta 2 demo!

One of the biggest things to come to the Wii U eShop in a while is the Bayonetta 2 demo. The game is just a few weeks away, and you can finally get a taste of it. Spoiler -- it plays a lot like Bayonetta 1, and that's only a ...

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley sprouts November 4 photo
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley sprouts November 4
by Kyle MacGregor

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley launches November 4, Natsume announced today.

The 3DS farming simulator marks the first occasion Natsume has internally developed a Harvest Moon title. All previous entries in the series came as localizations of Marvelous' Bokujō Monogatari franchise, the latest of which is coming west this winter as Story of Seasons.

Damn it, Pac-Man, I believed in you!

"Would you like to bet your earnings and try to extend your win streak?" Hmm. I was going to call it quits in Super Smash Bros.' Spectator Mode. I had too good of a streak going to continue pressing my luck, but the break bet...

The first footage of Renegade Kid's Xeodrifter is totally doin' it for me

In August, it was revealed that Mutant Mudds developer Renegade Kid was working on a metroidvania for Nintendo 3DS titled Xeodrifter. It's about an interstellar vagrant, and the game was supposedly born from a Moon...

Dorf on the Diamond: 7,116ft in Smash Bros' home run contest

This is even better than discovering Yoshi's easy down-A in Melee's home run contest. I spent some of the weekend trying to find cheap, lazy home run contest tricks, like spamming Fox's blaster, but I haven't been able to top about 2,200 with Link. This bat-less Ganondorf trick more than triples my best effort.

Review: Skylanders: Trap Team photo
Review: Skylanders: Trap Team
by Chris Carter

Toys For Bob has found some rather interesting ways to evolve the Skylanders franchise. While the conceit the first time around was simply interactive toys, the developer mixed things up with giants on the second go, and with a mix-and-match concept (my personal favorite to date) after that.

Trap Team is the fourth iteration of the series, and the gimmick this time around involves tiny plastic pieces that essentially function as little Ghostbusters tools to ensnare enemies. While the core game is still as strong as ever, the trap mechanic isn't all that exciting.

Nintendo's newest 3DS system update adds themes

Update 9.0.0-20 has dropped in North America and Europe for the 3DS, and its biggest feature is decidedly the addition of themes. These basically allow you to customize your UI entirely, with backgrounds, new icons, and sound...

Monster Hunter 4 is getting a Nintendo Direct soon

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate still isn't out in the west, but that isn't stopping Nintendo and Capcom from drumming up more excitement. The newest Nintendo Direct will be Monster Hunter-centric, and will take place on October 8th at 7AM EST. It will be a Japanese direct, and the contents of the stream have not been disclosed. You can check out the direct here on that date. Nintendo [Twitter]

Final Fantasy Explorers will not have 3D, will have Circle Pad Pro and New 3DS support

Final Fantasy Explorers will arrive soon in Japan, and it'll come with a few changes that aren't typically in 3DS titles. For one, it won't feature full 3D -- I'm kind of 50/50 on it myself, so I don't mind either way. The go...

Heavy breathing and screaming man game hits 3DS in Japan

Growing up, games like Jungle Hunt, Pitfall, and Congo Bongo were the equivalent to today's "AAA experiences". It was just a given that people wanted to play games about defenseless men in the jungle avoiding outrageous deat...

Review: Tappingo 2
by Ben Pack

As someone who has gone through several Picross apps on his iPhone, I was excited to hear about Tappingo 2, a puzzler for the 3DS in the same vein. Maybe this would be the perfect game for my long train rides.
