Revealed! Here is your E3 badge artwork photo
Revealed! Here is your E3 badge artwork
by Hamza CTZ Aziz

For the fourth year in a row, Atlus is the badge holder sponsor for E3 2014. On both sides is Persona's loveable Teddie. On the front it's Teddie from Persona 4: Dancing All Night. Attendees will be able to get their picture with Teddie at the show, and sharing the picture on Twitter will enter them for a chance to win a Japan-only Persona Q 3DS system.

On the other side is Teddie from Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. Character designer Shigenori Soejima will be signing autographs on an E3-exclusive print on June 11, 12PM - 1:00PM at the Atlus booth.

So, on to the contest. We wanted you all to figure out what the E3 insert would look like. Congratulations to F. Saku. You were the closest to nailing the artwork, bonus points for including "Who's Your Teddie???" There were a lot of great entries in this and after talking with our rad friends over at Atlus, we've decided to award bonus winners!

Congrats to walnut100, Atatabear, and Viktor Andrade. All four winners now have a choice of one of any recent Atlus PS2 Classics on PSN (Persona 4, Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raido Kuzunoha v. The Soulless Army).

We'll be bringing you coverage of all the Atlus games during our E3 Unfiltered coverage starting next week. Expect new details on Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Persona 4: Dancing All Night, Persona Q: Shadow, Citizens of Earth, Abyss Odyssey, and one unannounced title.

Teaser: Here's the E3 2014 badge insert, can you guess the game?
by Hamza CTZ Aziz

Last year Atlus let us exclusively tease the E3 badge holder to all you Dtoiders. Everyone seemed to be really into it, so we're doing it again for this year's E3.

Attached is a blanked out version of the official badge insert for E3 2014. There's artwork printed on both sides, so take that into consideration as you try and guess what games the insert represents.

Here's the contest: See if you can figure out what the artwork is that might appear on the front and/or back side of the insert. Draw your own stuff, fill it in with other images, etc. Just simple comments won't count! Pull up your photo editing programs and see if you can solve the mystery.

We'll be picking a winner and revealing the official image this Thursday at around 2PM PT! The person that gets the closest to the actual image will win an E3-exclusive Persona 4 Arena Ultimax signed print of one of Atlus' next games. Contest is open to all territories too. Good luck!

DNA splicing will make you a better you in Subnautica photo
DNA splicing will make you a better you in Subnautica
by Hamza CTZ Aziz

Natural Selection began life in 2002 as a mod that successfully married the first-person shooter and real-time strategy genres. It's since gone on to eat up the last 12 years of developer Unknown Worlds' time as they created a sequel, and even an eSports tournament around it. Now, development of Natural Selection II is being handed over to the dedicated community around the game as the studio focuses on their next project, Subnautica.

Subnautica, a vast departure for Unknown, is an underwater exploration and survival game that doesn't have an emphasis on combat. It made its worldwide debut at PAX East and, despite hiding the game inside a little booth on the showfloor, I saw people lining up every day of the show just to see what this new title was all about.

I visited the team at Unknown Worlds and talked to co-founder Charlie Cleveland to see what the public reception was like, and got some new details on what they hope to achieve with Subnautica

Valve's Steam Machine program and controller pushed back into 2015 photo
Valve's Steam Machine program and controller pushed back into 2015
by Hamza CTZ Aziz

Valve's Eric Hope took to the Steam forums today and announced that they're delaying the release of the Steam Machine program and the Steam controller into 2015.

"We’re now using wireless prototype controllers to conduct live playtests, with everyone from industry professionals to die-hard gamers to casual gamers. It's generating a ton of useful feedback, and it means we'll be able to make the controller a lot better. Of course, it's also keeping us pretty busy making all those improvements. Realistically, we're now looking at a release window of 2015, not 2014."

Hope noted that they're eager to get Steam Machines out there, but their number one priority is making sure they create the "best gaming experience possible."

How this will exactly impact the release of the SteamOS or all of the Steam Machines various PC makers are working on is unclear at this time.

Co-op dancing game Bounden launches on May 21
by Hamza CTZ Aziz

Bounden is launching next week on May 21 for iOS. The game is launching for Android as well, but they've had to push back the release as developing on Android is quite the challenge. There's a Vine that quickly shows how all the different phones on the market make it tough on developers, especially for small teams.

As for the game itself, we can expect at least two more updates after launch that will include more dances. The making of video here shows you details on how the team is creating the dances, otherwise go check out Jonathan Holmes video preview showing how the game works in real time.
