HUGE: Download a full copy of NightSky right now photo
HUGE: Download a full copy of NightSky right now
by Papa Niero

Have you played NightSky yet? We've got Steam codes for all of our members right now, courtesy of our friends at Nicalis.

Destructoid's Jonathan Holmes gave it an 8/10, calling NightSky a "physics-focused puzzle platformer that alternates between soothing the fuck out of the player and stressing them out with deceptively simple-looking obstacle courses."

To claim your code simply access your HUGE Perks page to grab your code and claim it on Steam. If there is a surplus of codes after members get dibs, we'll of course make the rest public.

Destructoid HUGE is a new way of supporting what we do: it offers you ad-free browsing, a better mobile and tablet experience, a 1080p and work-safe sneaky "Googtoid" page design, 25% off Destructoid Shot Glasses and Shirts, automatic entries to all of our contests, and funds cool new podcasts like The Core, and two unannounced shows we will be launching in the coming weeks (get hype!).  Check it out and thanks for reading us!

If you love meticulously-crafted, quality indie games as much as we do, this is for you.

For the past year, IndieGameStand (IGS) has been helping indie game developers promote and sell their games with four-day pay-what-you-want sales, and today they've launched a digital game store where indies can set their own price and distribute direct to customers.  They're currently having a 15% off sale though the end of September, so go check them out!

Huge Members: Download one of their top games for free

To celebrate the launch of our game store, Destructoid has partnered with IndieGameStand to give out over a thousand full games from their shop. We're giving our HUGE members first dibs to download a free game. Grab your full free game code. Once you receive your code, create an account on IGS (or login with Facebook) then redeem that code here.

SOE Live: Everquest Next videos show face tracking, moves photo
SOE Live: Everquest Next videos show face tracking, moves
by Papa Niero

The face-tracking technology called SOEMote was confirmed to be headed to Everquest Next, said game director Dave Georgeson. The tech was unveiled at E3 last year and is currently available to the public for free in Everquest II -- all you need is a webcam and you're good to go. Though still a little rough around the edges, it shows promise of what the future of what personal virtual interactions could be like. Cutting to the chase, I'm surprised the porn industry didn't beat them to it. That's where all technology comes from, so I'm told.

Everquest Next will also feature less fumbling with your keyboard when moving across environment through some automatic parkour wizardry. In the video shown above you'll notice that when the characters confront small boulders they simply swings around it with liquidity. No button pressing is needed to perform these actions, which they're calling "Heroic Movements". When combined with double-jumping and magical items (like gliding boots) the tedium of moving across a field begins to sounds like less of a chore.

SOE Live wraps later tonight, so we'll continue to prod the developers for more details. Is there anything you've seen you're curious about? Let me know and I'll try to corner someone!

SOE Live: How to make real-world money in PlanetSide 2 photo
SOE Live: How to make real-world money in PlanetSide 2
by Papa Niero

Matt Higby doesn't know what the future of his game may hold, and he's frankly OK with that. We prodded him with questions about Player Studio, the new marketplace we've blogged about before where gamers can upload and sell their own creations (similar to Valve's strategy).

Mr. Higby wants more of it in there: "People are doing a great job on camos, but there are almost no decals -- which is shocking despite being the easiest to create." You can make some real world loot by submitting helmets, decals, camo patterns, cockpit decals, hood ornaments.  "Eventually, you'll also be able to submit vehicle cosmetics and even weapons," he added.

When we asked him what the company does with ugly submissions he smiled and admitted that "Some stuff frankly sucks, but the community is great about telling people (in the forums) about what's good and not good. We can't let everything through, but some really great stuff has come in."

Has anyone made a Sgt. Slaughter Warthog yet? Seems like a no-brainer for Hossin -- my billion dollar idea to is waiting for you in the gallery below.

Everquest Next lives up to the hype, is frickin' insane photo
Everquest Next lives up to the hype, is frickin' insane
by Papa Niero

In a move nobody could have predicted, Sony Online Entertainment is showcasing not one but two new EverQuest properties today: EverQuest Next and EverQuest Next Landmark -- and the latter may be arriving as early as this winter.

EverQuest Next is a re-imagining of the original 1999 classic, while Landmark is essentially a free-to-play sandbox with rich voxel modeling tools that will usher some of the community's penis-free creations into the future world of EverQuest Next.

Crafting and digging deep into the earth's crust only scratch the surface of what's new. The new games are a radical departure in three other ways: multi-classed characters can mix and match abilities, there's an "Emergent AI" that does not rely on static spawn points, and permanent changes to the world are dictated by the outcomes of wars. These four pillars prop up what, if my eyes don't deceive me, is an otherwise gorgeous-looking next-gen game that absolutely deserves all the whispers and hype since its E3 stealth debut.

Kids, hold on to your hats. This is not your dad's Dungeons and Dragons.
