Never played GoW, but this low price, graphical updates, and trophies will make me jump in!

And here I was debating whether to buy the first two to catch up before I play 3. It's just been made a whole lot easier to do so.

I don't think I'm really that tempted. I'd rent it definitely because the production values of the cutscenes would ensure that HD would be being put to good use, but the style of combat never really clicked with me in either of the two games. Pretty graphics and a fast pace wont fix my main problems with the games, but I'll maybe check it out.

I couldn't call either of them the best action games of the last generation. I didn't have enough fun fighting.

Great... just great. What the hell am I supposed to do with my original copies of GoW 1 and 2?!? I mean really. And I'm trying to slow down on buying games.. .but passing this up would be just like passing up on Metroid Prime Trilogy... it's just not fair... but I'll probably get this opening day.

Got rid of my ps2 and moved onto xbox before GOW I & II came out, so I never played them......played GOW:C.O.O. on my psp....loved it......Just got a ps3 slim.....can't wait.

Although I love Action-Adventure games, I used to be a huge Nintendo fanboy and never got around to playing the God of War games. While I was going to buy them earlier this year, I ended up not for numerous reasons. I guess I just found other things I would rather play. However, now that they are both being released on PS3 "remastered" and with trophies, I will DEFINITELY pick them up and Chains of Olympus too before I play God of War III. I can't wait! This might even make my Christmas list with Uncharted 2, if it's lucky. Although I might just end up using Christmas to order older games such as Vagrant Story and some imported games from America such as SMT: Devil Survivor and Persona. Still, I'll get it at some point. PS3 is looking better and better by the minute!

Yeah... I just bought both a little while ago for the PS2 in anticipation of the 3rd coming out so I could re-play them. Admittedly, I'll probably still be picking this up. 720p vs 480p will definitely be an improvement.

No, they're not going to just hand you 2 PS2 DVD discs and expect the trophies and blu-ray polish to magically set themselves. They will just port both games to the PS3 Blu-Ray disc, slap on some new trophies (to get people like me who already beat over 9,000 times it to re-purchase it), and put it all on 1 disc. Simple.

Really though, God & Titan mode are the only reasons I'd play these again... but first I must bring it to my closet, speak ever so fondly to it, then I molest, take breather, molest, have gratifying smoke, then I play... I suppose it'd be a used title after that.

well shit, I'm a fan of BC and love having it but Sony's not giving me a whole lot of reasons to keep using it.

Someone stole my copy of God of War 1, and I never got a chance to play 2... definitely getting this.

This is cool. I already have God of War 1 and 2 on PS2, but I love paying for games I already have.

Although it's nice that the two games are being rereleased on the store, and brilliant deal as it is, you shouldn't need to be paying for games that you could have played if they hadn't killed the BC from the console. Which strikes me as a bit cheeky.

Nonetheless, 720p does indeed sound appealing.

Also, we should start lobbying for some retroactive trophies feature. I don't know if I wanna go through Titan mode again. That bloody translator and all.

My PS3 is backwards compatible, I'm not sure that it's needed in this case considering these games are on a Blu Ray disc but with trophy support I'm in. I'll sell my original copies and enjoy this thoroughly especially being able to play through these games right before GOW III, plus I am a trophy tramp or achievement whore or points prostitute, I just love them!!
