Point? Make this shit happen on my PS3. Portal is prime real estate for some homemade shenanigans.

In-game Portal 2 map editor planned for next year
Valve has divulged what's next for Portal 2, following the recent release of the "Peer Review" add-on: "an easy-to-use" map editor that's expected to come out in early 2012. This editor will hopefully push crowdsourcing a step forward, since it's said to let players "view, play, and vote" on community-created single-player and co-op test chambers "with a simple click." There was no mention of applicable platforms, though I suspect Valve is still trying to figure out if this stuff is feasible on consoles. That'd be swell. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)There were people on Timesplitters: Future Perfect that made some prettylegendary maps in the map maker. Some of those maps were played right up until they shut the servers down, and people (like me) still talk about them 5 years later.
Point? Make this shit happen on my PS3. Portal is prime real estate for some homemade shenanigans. This is pretty sweet. I doubt it will be as feature-rich as Hammer so that will still remain viable. I can see this leading to prototypes that advanced users could then flesh out using the real SDK.
tldr AWESOME! Sounds pretty awesome. It will lead to some nice designs that will become popular and fun to play. Will make me want to play more of the game! Hey, hey, Online Pass guys! This is a MUCH better idea! I mean, I think I'm going to buy this game now! Nice. Some amazing things where done with Halo 3's editor and in Halo Reach you can easily make a map. Hopefully this can be on 360 and PS3. This game makes me addicted, just like Jewel Quest Solitaire that I have been playing for all my life. I don`t know what wild instinct these games might trigger in our mind, but the truth is once I sit there and start playing, I can hardly get up from that chair. Every game grows this ambition inside of you that you can do more, that you can come across better matches, that you can actually win. It`s frantic, I`m telling you. But I realize I am so passionate when I talk about this game, that I can`t give up on it. 8:30 PM on 05.23.2013 Black Ops 2's Revolution DLC has a free trial weekendCall of Duty: Black Ops 2's Revolution map pack will be free to play on Xbox 360 this weekend, Activision's Dan Amrich announced, who only confirmed the promotion for Microsoft's console.
