You can totally do that. Just change your main email to a .edu address and you'll be good. All our .edu addresses are just aliases, so they forward to my main email anyway. I've gotten three trades accepted since then and they didn't take tokens. Yay!
This is also perfect timing as I just bought a DS Lite.
