Videogame concept artist "Remo" posted a blog a few days ago showing off some work he'd been doing with Photoshop, and it's so awesome I thought I'd share it on this slow news night. It's a Colonial Marine done in a cel-shaded MegaMan-esque style and it's absolutely brilliant. He stated he may do a Xenomorph next, and if he does, I know I'll have a new desktop wallpaper sorted out.
My question is this: Would you like an Aliens game done in this art style? As far as I know, nobody's ever thought to do a cartoon-style Aliens game before, but I reckon it could really look quite brilliant. Make it happen, Sega. You know you want to.

Before then? Not so much.
I don't know why it's important that I play the others first, but it is.
But if the game's gonna have cell-shading,i'd rather be an alien then the marines.Otherwise i'll just be like Megaman meet Contra.

As for cartoon Aliens....NO!
Idiot. Whilst there is a good case to be made against the prevalence of 'grimdark' aessthetics in games, strawmanning anyone who thinks not everything should be cartoony and 'stylised' is stupid. Aliens is one of the all time great hollywood action films and Gieger's art design is legendary. It would be missing the point entirely to make an Alien title in this style as Aliens practically invented the badass space marine and warped alien atmosphere.
Anyway, this is only a single peice of fanart so admittedly it is a storm in a teacup.
