IKEA is making computers? Also, contest winners photo

I'm a little late announcing these contest winners.  It's not because I don't love you, its because I was distracted with #FNF and by IKEA's awesome new computer. I'm a very silly person.

Anyway, congratulations to Critical_Damage, Knives, and KiltSamurai.  Our intern extraordinare has pulled your names out of our hollowed-out keyboard cat corpse and awarded you the prize.  Please contact him at contestshipping@destructoid.com with the email account that matches your account to arrange sexual relations.

Didn't win it?  No problem.  We have an awesome Intel surprise giveaway next weekend just for playing this.

[Thanks to Señor Miller for the nudge.]

PC gaming appears to be making a comeback, doesn't it?  I'm looking at my "do want" calendar and it's got a new BioShock, a new Call of Duty game, The Sims 3, Diablo III and Starcraft II are just around the corner. Notice a pattern here? At the risk of sounding like an EA Sports executive I would argue that this the year of the sequel. Some of the most acclaimed franchises from various genres are getting a face lift within the next few months, and it's going to be socially acceptable once more to shun your consoles for an afternoon with little ridicule from your peers. Not that anyone's currently playing Plants vs. Zombies under a tarp with candle, but you know what I mean.

From a computing business perspective it's also a great time to piggyback on the hype of these great games and market optimized hardware for them.  Doesn't a laptop that can run Diablo III with all the settings cranked up sound good? That's where this contest comes in.  As you may know I'm the resident gaming nerd at WePC, an Intel/Asus community experiment to make PC gaming less lame. This week I'm creating a list of upcoming PC games that I think Asus should put into their new systems and got the green light to solicit Dtoid votes.

How to win: Three (3!) lucky winners will win any upcoming PC game (software only) they're looking forward to, pre-ordered courtesy of moi.  All you have to do is drop a comment on WePC.com (not on Dtoid) with the upcoming PC game you're looking forward to the most.  Maybe it's not a sequel. Maybe you're jonesing for Dragon Age. I can dig it, just tell me what you want.  Note: I'm only opening entries for this contest to the Dtoid community, so please register with your username so I know you're one of the good guys.

Example: Dtoid_Niero: Starcraft II is going to significantly taper my hygiene and exposure to sunlight.

That's all there is to it.  I'll choose three random winners on June 15. Good luck!  Eh, want more? OK! Check out our other contests -- you can win a $10,000 Steampunk PC with a copy of Damnation, Sacred 2, Valkyria Chronicles, and a Twitter giveaway coming up this Friday if you're fast on your feet.
