id: Admit you stole Wolfenstein and we will MURDER you photo

Wolfenstein, like all good PC games, has been leaked onto the Internet for the freeloading enjoyment of dirty pirates. The Multiplayer portion of the game has been distributed online at the usual places, and Texas-based studio id is well aware of it. The developer has made it perfectly clear that evil publisher Activision is looking into the leakage, and there will stern retribution for those who dare cross them.

"I must warn anyone involved that Activision's legal department is taking this matter very seriously," states id community manager Pete Sokal. "Same applies here on the forums. If you mention that you have acquired this build, you are openly admitting to illegally obtaining the build and will be banned straight away. You have been warned.

"With regards to any footage, screenshots and comments posted here and all over the internet, an important thing to keep in mind is that these were not created from a build of the game that was final or consumer ready. There's nothing we can do about it now except continue working on the game."

There are few publishers I'd be willing to f*ck with less than Activision. I may dislike the way the company operates, but I respect that it has the money and power necessary to completely destroy me if I ever do or say anything that they could legally use in a court of law. That's why I've never said Bobby Kotick eats live children, even though he blatantly does.

Oh no, I wouldn't want to be . . . banned from the id forums?

Wait, what?

Yeah, right, who gives a fuck anyway... Return to Castle Wolfenstein was the ONE anyway. And about the threats, as a great man once said: "They can suck my pathetic little dick...". Well, that's it I guess. On a sidenote, how did the game leaked anyway? They did that knowingly, more like it. Building the "hype" and all that... Anyway, monster corporations can just get to a corner and die for all I (we?) care...

I heard that Bobby Kotick eats live children and Jim Sterling saw him do it once. Care to comment, Jim?

Video games is SERIOUS BUSINESS. You steal money from Activision and expect to get away with it?! Better enjoy that game, cause it will be your last.

Seems like it was a closed (probably very private) beta that someone leaked. It acts like a multiplayer demo (have to log-in as offline, but can host LAN servers and apparently can even join some online cracked servers) but its definitely not the finished product (according to comments on some torrent sites I looked up).
Sounds to me like they're not particularly proud of what they've got so far, and want it hushed up as much as possible. Still, the people who liked it seemed to outnumber those who didnt.

@Infininja:

You mean he didn't stop it from happening? Gasp! Gamers don't care about black people (!!!?!?!) and babies, alert Fox News!

And I've been reading online that people were not impressed, run of the mill shooter.

It would be cool to find who leaked it in the first place, don't ban him, send in a SWAT team instead.

THEY WILL DESTROY YOU.

Really, they can smoke your ass so bad its not even funny. Why can't people just wait till the game is out to pirate it? Are people really so cheap that they would prefer risking the law's wrath than go without a new game till it drops in price? Why, pirates? WHY?

Corporations come equipped with some pretty badass weapons.
My favorite is their intimidating M1911 lawsuit pistol. But, of course, one can't forget their HK416 "I'll ban you" assault rifle

Be afraid.

Or the HL2 leak.
Apparently Gabe wanted to meet the person who did it and "employ" him.
By employ I mean use as an ingredient in a baby sandwich.

They are very careless.. I wonder how that got leaked, a compromised trojan infected development node, or an angry ex-employee with an ordinary flash disk..

So is that what's going on NOW? Activision has become the NEW "Empire"? And this Bobby prick is the new "Darth Vader" or "Darth Kotick"? And threatening your customers base is the NEW and INTELLIGENT way of doing business? Ok.

I don't want to steal your shitty games. I don't want anything from Activision, so they can ALL eat a d*ck.

These days I just ignore anything Activision puts out, even if the game looks interesting. I don't buy it or pirate it.

Does Bobby Kotick not eat children before or after he does not put his willy inside of little children's dusty bumholes?

Reactions like this actually make me want to download it more. Kinda like when M$ got all butt-hurt about the Windows XP source code getting leaked. Guess what I went and downloaded after hearing about that shit...

This can easily be remedied by showing up at Bobby Kotex's house with a greased baseball bat and the softly whispered threat "Now bend over..".

Also, Darth Kotex. Or Dirty Kotex.

i have proof, bobby tried to eat me as a baby. Also you forgot about bobby's past life as a certain A.Hitler hence why he's getting involved with wolfeinstein and why he made the secret ending where the nazies win.
