On October 21, actor/rapper/pimp Ice-T picked up a copy of Borderlands. Since then, he's been a bit, shall we say... obsessed. And he's been telling all 24,000-plus of his Twitter followers.
"Just got done playing Borderlands 4hrs straight," he writes, "need I say more?"
But it doesn't stop there. Later, he tells his followers that he's going to play the game again... for an estimated five hours. Later, he updates his progress and proclaims "This sh*t is sick." 2K Games marketing, we can only assume, are frustrated they couldn't have put that in their print ads.
"This game is like crack! I gotta get 2 more hours in before I crash tonight," Ice-T also says. "There's 10,000 Guns!"
Sorry, Ice, you're wrong... it's actually 3,166,880.

I too am loving Borderlands, whether I play for an hour or six, it hits the sweet spot, and god bless that auto save.
IRHari: I haven't had any crashes, though there are lots of little bugs and the framerate chops like crazy at points on my over-heating 60GB PS3. What sort of PS3 do you have and does it run hot? Because my brother has a 40GB (that doesn't over-heat) and he has almost no framerate drops. Seems to vary a lot from system to system, though obviously the framerate even when working properly is inexcusably lower than the 360.

I hope it doesn't become the 'remember that game you liked near the modern wafare 2 release?' I just hope it earns enough to warrant a improved sequel with more more more, added to it, and it gets a summertime slot which is marketed to death.
I've got an 80gig backwards compatible (it was the MGS4 bundle basically.) It's never froze on ANY game except Fallout 3 (understandable when it was freezing for everyone.) But this is really unacceptable, especially in this day and age. I've bought PS2 games with less problems than this game. A little more time in QA/QC, well worth the delay, perhaps.
