Not sure how often I'll be playing, but I'll have it.
I'm willing to bet most FPS players don't like MMOs because they're repetitive and grindy, when the majority of FPS games are exactly the same. Not that I like MMOs to an extent, just sayin' ...
p.s. I played FF XI for almost 2 years, and loved it. (Tarutaru RDM 68)
Modern Warfare is referred to as the best FPS of all time precisely BECAUSE it has such a surprisingly good story and such tight controls.
That being said, enjoy your game, I think I'm going to bed. :P I'll see you all when Left 4 Dead 2 comes out...
Dragon Age gets a break because I gotta go shoot people online with my friends.
I think that's why the majority of us are buying "just another wargame/FPS".
You would lose that bet. See, I don't like MMOs because a) they force me to play on-line, though I enjoy single-player campaigns in video games the most, and b)They're ridiculously time consuming, unlike FPSes, which, well, eventually end. If anything, "level grinding" is one of the few things I like about MMOs because it's one of the few things that will eventually end. Though I don't play MMOs, let's take WOW as an example. You'd cap out at level 70- but the game still wouldn't be over. And it would take you forever to get to that 70. And then of course, the expansions. It just doesn't end. I like my video games to be finite. It gives me a goal to shoot for.
Also, stop trolling. No one's going to sleep tonight thinking "Man, that one guy really grinds my gears. I am upset that his opinion is so different from mine."
The local Best Buy in Pensacola cancelled their midnight launch due to a stupid tropical storm, so Gamestop got swarmed. The one location I ended up at had about 150 people waiting around.
Thoughts on the game so far? Multiplayer is friggin' awesome. Won't touch the single-player until Wednesday, so I can really sink my teeth into it, but my impressions are all positive so far.
That's why I just bought it for £26 at Sainsbury's GIDDY UP!
I'll have the game by tomorrow afternoon, hopefully.
