Yes "Anthrax/PE crossover" Did suck!!!
good for ice-t if he wants to sing in a metal band, but why their amateurish music is being used to promote a multi million dollar product i don't know.
One of the best fits in recent memory is Russian Circles over the end credits of Dead Space 2.
I get that it's a money thing/demographic thing/marketing thing but would it kill Epic to listen to a band like Converge, hear that Jake Bannon already sounds essentially like a Locust, hear that their production sounds dirty, and corroded like the Gears universe, and then have the fucking lightbulb go off?
Or shit, just be cute dicks and convince The Locust to do a song for Gears.
I'll take some lesser known, talented band that has a distinct sound over some sad rap-metal cash in any day of the week.
Also, to the guy who said Body Count is thrash, I'm not one to micromanage genres here, but put on an Exodus album and tell me if that sounds anything like Body Count.
Also, the song was alright. Wasn't the biggest horde fan, I usually stuck with the multiplayer game modes Guardian and execution. But Horde 2.0 is changing my mind
Sweet shit, people involved in making games are just as good at choosing music to go with their games as most musicians are at playing games: horrible.
You see interviews with musicians and they're like: "oh man, we're killer at Halo!" Then cut to footage of them running around the map with a half clip of ammo and the "press x!" icon flashing, looking like a total fuckwit. Yeah, nice .6 K/D spread. Go back to making yourself sound awesome with some Pro Tools studio magic.
I don't even know what I'm mad about anymore!
