But Modern Warfare 2 the best multiplayer game of the year?
Left 4 Dead 2 hands down. I may be a PC gamer and as such butthurt about Dedi servers and stuff, but L4D2 promotes players being co-operative and actually prevents camping which is supposedly rampant in MW2.
Plus, a whiny 12 year old won't get far by running off because he's so "leet" on L4D. Modern Warfare 2 is pretty much just your standard shooter with more than its fair share of dickheads.

I think 1 vs 100 will be around for a very long time. Would like to see a "Strike It Lucky" (top, middle or bottom!?) game but it would be limited to only a few players, where 1 vs 100 can have thousands playing at once.
Thats going to be the biggest problem for these games.
MW2 was a given really, means Activision can slap a nice big "WINNER OF AWARDS" sticker on the (inevitable) GOTY edition.

I'm having trouble taking the IGA's as real awards, but thats because I'm one of the angry Bioware fanboys.
Anyway I've not played 1 Vs 100 so I can't say if it's the future, MW is most clearly a contender for best Multiplayer however.

No. Its good, but by no means "the best." Don't forget, pretty much everyone bashed the fact that Wii Fit is a terrible "video game" (to say the least) but it absolutely dominated the sales charts for months.

Yeah I have to agree MWF2 was fun.. but to many campers and you get killed to quickly, for an FPS. in most FPS's you some time to react, not so much with MWF2.
and the Wii fit, its because guys like us get a girl friend who wants it so that they can work out. so we can do more together.. god i miss my scotch
