I don't get why people liked the first game, and that clip and the end shows it's just gonna be more of that unfair shit.
The thing I liked about Super Meat Boy was you die a lot, but never because the game was unfair and suddenly shit flew at you. It always felt like you just needed to get better to beat the game, not memorize the levels.

Ha! Floe whooped me good in Third Strike at last year's Canada Cup, this makes me feel a bit better.
I tried a bit of IWBTG a while back, and I just don't see the appeal of it. It's fine, but it's nowhere near as good as the other Indie games I've played, and this is coming from a guy who's favorite genre is platforming.

There is some genius shit in IWBTG though. The first time I saw the infamous Dracula speech and someone getting killed by the glass he throws had me crying from laughter.

I get the feeling not a lot of people watched the I Wanna Be The Floe legacy that happened. That shit was beyond brilliant.
Super Meat Boy is a very different game with a very different goal. It's also fucking wonderful. That said SMB is about the platforming challenge. IWBTG uses platforming challenge as a vector for humor It's more of a game of psychology than a game focused on platforming skill.
So if anyone is like "But X is a better actual GAME than IWBTG" I'd gladly concede that point.

I already know someone who plays IWBTG games WAY better than Floe. He is able to play the original IWBTG game with ease. Of course because he knows the game but I feel even those who once beaten it cannot play it much better after that.
Maybe I am wrong, but Michael 1985 is far better than anyone else I seen play IWBTG.

man i remember this, played it all the time but i could never pass zangif. well i would pay to watch this guy play the gaiden version. few can say that they are the guy.
@Raukue it isn't about being better, I'm sure there are PLENTY of people better. It's about being more fun to watch. Floe is known for being a person who in a casual setting performs extremely well but has a hard time under pressure, his reactions are hilarious to watch when he gets frustrated and it's even more when his friends call him up to give him a hard time about failing.
