My Neo-Geo came with arcade sticks, and I can't imagine playing SNK fighter's without one.
and it didn't even have blu-ray!
Yeah, I bought most of my games used for around $75 each. Not too bad compared to Genesis/SNES carts at the time.
It looked good on paper though, and I guess it served to prove that the home version one the arcade version were the same.
Turbografx had a few I liked, Wanderer's from Y's book 1 & 2, Bonk and Legendary Axe come to mind. I never got the turbografx CD though.
Neo-Geo carts are too big to lug around. Seriously, they're bigger than the Wii!!! :)
Come to think of it, I think I had the portable TurboGraphx too. That thing was cool because you could take the little game card thing from the console and just play it on the go. At least...I think that's how it worked.
They had another game I liked too. Was it Vigilante? Side scroller beatem' up that was the shit!!!
Also, re: Ujn Hunter's comment... my USB Saturn pad still works fine on my up-to-date PS3.
And as for the memory cards... I always thought of it as just a way for people who didn't own a home Neo console to still be able to buy the same memory card and use it on the arcade games (especially non-fighters, think someone playing Magician Lord a level at a time in the arcade). Though it's true you COULD use the same saves on both.
good times, good times...

You likely had knockoffs. Legit Saturn USB pads still work, as I understand.
Heck, all my third party controls still work, and I have more than a few questionable ones.
