Chalk another one up for the PS3-related crime scoreboard: a desperate gamer attempted to steal a console and some cash (presumably to finance a 1080p TV?) but failed to ready smoke bombs, ninjas, and a getaway car after scoring the loot. Instead, the genius attempted to hide by hiding in the heating ducts but was ultimately pwned by police and was arrested. Good job fella, this is living!
A 23-year-old man faces an armed robbery charge Sunday after he tried to steal cash and a PlayStation 3 from a Chicago game store. Police said they arrested Antuan Blackman after they found him hiding in the heating ducts of the store in Chicago's South Side. Blackman allegedly brandished a handgun and forced his way in to an E.B. Games store Saturday night. He demanded money from employees before asking them where the stock of Playstations were kept. Police said the heist was recorded by the store's security cameras. Blackman had nearly $600 stored in his pants and another $54 in coins in his sweat shirt. A bond court appearance was scheduled for Sunday.
He should have spent more time planning the robbery. After all, is there really a game out for the PS3 right now that you'd risk going to the ass-pounding station for? Methinks not.
