I kinda want this TMNT: Smash Up Thermos more than the game photo

While it's not a popular opinion, I'm not really a big fan of Super Smash Bros., and I realize that makes me some kind of weirdo in gaming communities. I was a fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, however, dating back to the early 90s when I spent my days scrounging for money and redeeming empty soda cans for five cents a pop... just so I could buy the first edition of Eastman and Laird's TMNT debut black and white comic.

But my dislike of Smash Bros. is getting in the way of me being excited about Ubisoft's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash Up. Designed by some of the folks that worked on Super Smash Bros. Brawl., the game looks like well... Super Smash Bros. Brawl. With Ninja Turtles.

But holy f*ck! A Thermos! If you reserve TMNT: Smash Up at GameCrazy, you get a limited edition collectors Thermos. I'm an adult, and one that doesn't even have to leave his house to go to work. I have no real need for a Thermos. But the 11-year-old boy inside of me -- the one who carried garbage bags full of empty soda cans to a Long Island Food Emporium to work his way towards a TMNT comic -- may not not be able to resist.

This better find it's way to my somewhat greener shores. The chicks dig thermos flasks and once they see Raphael on the front of it? They'll be putty in my hands!

Step aside mortals, I'm gonna break a lot of heats. The line starts here!

Mortals may be able to spell, I just chose not to. It's beneath me. XD

Don't worry Nick! I'm not the biggest Smash fan either. According to my Wii, the last time I played it was March... of 08.

On the other hand, I'm a big Thermos fan. And kid me would die for a Ninja Turtles one.

Eh, either you like Smash Bros. or you don't. No biggie. I fucking need that Thermos, though.

Man, I must really like thermoses, 'cause that looks like a pretty schway catch to me. Sadly, my interest in the game is only marginal.

God it's a slow ass news day. Even by my standards.

Also, cool thermos.

I don't like Smash Bros at all.

But then again, I'm into just about all of the other tourny fighters out there so I like my fighters to have much more depth and technical aspects.

And as for this game, it really does look horrible. Animation, graphics, special moves, you name it. Even my love of TMNT isn't enough to warrant playing this game.

I'll pass. I'm positive I can find my TMNT lunch box and thermos combo somewhere back home... I bet my mom would know where it still is!
