As has already been pointed out, this week's Virtual Console offering isn't quite as brilliant as in recent months, but that makes things a little simpler for me song-wise. The worse a game is, the easier it is for me to write a song about it. I take things in a very strange direction with World Class Baseball, where the overhead view of the out fielding reminded me of Gauntlet. I mean, just look at it! At first, I was going to try to work this association into strict "song" form, but I opted instead to ad lib a talking section. I hope it's funny!
I really enjoyed Yoshi's Story. People on the Internets appear to be somewhat split on this game. It was the first time I had played it.
And then there's Super Thunder Blade. Oi vey. But of course, true to form, this being the worst game means that I like the song the best. What do you think?
Haha, love it as always. Gauntlet Baseball needs to get made. And I have a feeling that I'll be singing "Super Happy Tree's been stolen" to myself every time I play Yoshi's Story.
Is it just me, or did this story get pushed all the way down the page as soon as it appeared?
Ok, I'm not one to usually apply the simple, almost cromagnin style of commenting I'm about to use (at least not since I got off my last MUD sometime around 1996), but I really think it catches the essence of what I experienced here today....
First time listening to any of these. Sounds very similar to the style of Flight of the Conchords. Then again, I guess any humor filled acoustic guitar song sounds alike.
A friend of mine was like "I want the Yoshi's Story one as an mp3" so I recorded it off the video and made him one. We both have "The Super Happy Tree has been stolen" stuck in our heads. The Gauntlet soliloquy was great as well.

GameJew, the fact that you can keep coming up with these songs week after week amazes me. I'm positive that you have more musical talent in your pinky then I do in my whole body.
