After a month hiatus, I'm back with yet another singing review. I only did one of the two games this week because honestly, that's all I had in me. The game I chose was City Connection on the NES. Don't get upset, as the only reason I didn't do Metal Slug was because I couldn't find any good .midi files for that game. When I use the game music as inspiration for the song, I take the midi files, chop them all to pieces, add a bunch of different sounds, and then write lyrics and a melody that goes over it. That's exactly what I did here.

This game is all right. The controls are loose, but feel right nonetheless. The music is so cheesy that it becomes fantastic. The core mechanic, part Donkey Kong and part Pac-Man, works really well somehow. Taken all together, I'm sucked in by this game's charm.

A friend of mine had this when I was a kid, it was kinda fun. But I don't think I'll drop $5 on it. Welcome back!

Using a C64/SID chip synth would sound so awesome for these.

I, Yashoki, also think that these are crap. Put them on the Cblogs, away from my front page and bumping down my Castlevania Posts.

Have you not used www.vgmusic.com? They have lots of midis, original and user-made.

The video in this post autoplays in Opera when the page is reloaded.

that's kinda annoying when I have like twenty tabs open and reaload them all at once and have to scroll through them all to find out what site is making fucking noise pour out of my speakers. Yesterday another post with a vid did the same thing (at like 3 in the night when I had hardly eaten and was really tired) and I was starting to question my own sanity as some voice suddenly started rambling on about how they made the sounds and how they were making them so real and the sounds are so real I mean it's like they are coming from just over there and here we have GLEN (my name, that is) who makes the sounds for this and the sounds he makes are so REAL I mean he really is good with the sounds and that is what makes them so scary and the goal of the sounds being so real is to make the audience crap their pants in excitement.

Around this point I figured it had to be a dtoid post and shit it off..
