HnnnnnNNNNGGGGGGGGAfterburner! Ah. got that out. I grew up as a Sega kid and an arcade freak (and a Yu Suzuki fanboy), so After Burner was one of those games that always...uh, got me going. The arcade game After Burner Climax is a revival of the 1980's classic, and it is now headed our way in console form.
Previously only announced for Japan, the US will now see After Burner Climax on the Xbox 360 and PS3, according to a new ESRB listing. We're with Joystiq in feeling like their listing makes this sound like the most boring game ever created. Check their enthusiasm:
This is an arcade-style action game in which players pilot a fighter jet through bright photo-realistic environments. Players dodge planes, rockets, and bullets while targeting enemy aircraft. Most of the jets—even the missiles/gunfire—appear somewhat fantastical...
