I'm excited for you, not me. I've already played Atlus' epic DS RPG Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. I had a lot of really nice things to say about it. I think you will too. This is the deepest DS RPG I can think of, not to mention one of the most rewarding. I can't wait until you dig into it. I want to know what you think of it. Hit me up for demon codes!
I got my lovely retail boxed version early a few days ago, and have been looking at it longingly. Sexy art box, music CD. I'd love to start playing it again. I think I'll do that with the bigger screens of the DSi XL.
To tease you even more, Atlus has released a new game play trailer for Strange Journey. In it you'll see what really goes down in the dungeons and battles. You've only got a week before you see for yourself. I'm so excited for you!

I think I'm going to be juggling Pokemon SS, Infinite Space and SMT: Strange Journey. A lot of RPGs came out this month, but I think DS got all the real gems.
I'm only a couple hours in to Infinite Space and only my way to toppling the second gym in Pokemon SS. I've even put the Pokewalker to good use so far. It might be a little gimmick, but it got me to go for walks again.
Unrelated to the topic, but I found out that FFvXIII is going to have a world map!! Tetsuya Nomura said FFvXIII will have a world map and you can travel around on an AIR frigging SHIP! looks like FFvXIII won't be linear!! XD
I'm excited for you for me too. I've been waiting for this since it was first announced in Japan and it's hard to believe that it's only a few days away now!
And like everyone else this is part of my costly trio with HeartGold and IS also.
Is this comparable in any way to The World Ends With You in terms of gameplay complexity? It already looks interesting from an aesthetic standpoint, and The World Ends With You is arguably my favorite DS game on gameplay merit alone... I figure since they're both RPGs there might be some sort of cross-examination possible... But then, The World Ends With You isn't much like anything else I've ever played.
My wife cannot get enough of the first; she's beaten it EVERY way you possibly could. She's been crawling all over me to buy this game for her post haste. In the interest of getting move bedroom favors, I readily comply.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

God. Dammit.

SMT and TWEWY have absolutely nothing in common. Dale spelled out the nature of SMT:SJ in his review, so you're better off reading that.
