I haven't lost complete interest, it's just that I've only got 3 GB left on my hard drive and I don't want to go out and buy a new one unless I absolutely have too. Hopefully if it is full length, they'll still release it in disc form, like Plants vs Zombies.
The original video and concept behind this game was amazing, I really hope it turned out good. Either way it's good to see that it's not dead, and I look forward to checking it out.

If we look at the average 8 hour game that costs $60, that means that $30 would be for 4 Hours, $15 for 2, and $7.50 for 1. That would mean that a 3 hour game would be $22.50.

Tuoman, that's a bit harsh. Sure, Jim's latest game length article speaks the truth about people finding 8 hour games short, but asking a reduced price for a short game can't be that bad, can it?
Well that's disappointing. Not that a downloadable game can't be fun but there are more limits to what you can do.

I'm still trying to figure out who exactly (and how) is able to finish Dead Space 2 in 8 hrs...... it took me over 11.....
I'm pretty sure I found nearly every power node, but I think the only peoe doing it in 8 hrs are those doing it for review, since they have deadlines.....I think typical gamers that are playing DS2 are taking their time somewhat, trying to find all the schematics and power nodes, and appreciating the game by exploring it a little........I've been gaming a long time and there's no way DS2 can be finished in 8 hrs or less on it's 1st play on normal difficulty......so stfu......thanks.

I'm kind of disappointed that it was "demoted", first by losing its director and then by becoming a PSN/XBLA title, but I'm still glad we're getting it. Hopefully it will end up like Mirror's Edge, where the game may be short, but it's an incredible experience.

If you check the video at around 10:00 and can speak French, there's a guy who says it's for XBLA and PSN and some other stuff I couldn't make out.
At least we get a chance to judge it and hopefully enjoy it instead of unfairly making it some fabled and idolized vaporware that would have "totally changed the gaming landscape".

I liked the trailer from 3 or 4 years ago, but XBLA/PSN? That probably means they cut out a lot of stuff. Whatever, I still want this.

I am curious as to what on earth could possibly have spurred this move from planned disc format to downloadable title?! Hopefully it won't impact the game too negatively. A game certainly does not need to contain 4+ GB to be worthwhile!
