Ubisoft has released the first developer diary for I Am Alive, which is next week's Xbox Live House Party title. In it, the developers talk about the process behind crafting new survival, action and exploration elements all within the confines of a post-apocalyptic setting. And it's looking like it will do exactly that by offering experiences that no other title of the genre can offer.
Personally, I'm a huge fan of anything that has to do with post-apocalyptic and I Am Alive is the exact kind of game I've always wanted from that specific genre. Your character is not able to just wait around and heal, any type of resource you find (either food or weapons) is extremely valuable, but you'll also have to manage your limited inventory at the same time. Hopefully it's as good as it looks. Is anyone picking up I Am Alive next week?
Just don't understand how this can go from full retail to Psn/ live shop. It sounds great but so did Amy . Very suspicious about larger budget network games . Indie devs games with simpler graphics and niche concepts yes, big publishers with what looks like a retailable game.... Suspicious.
I've had my eye on this game for a while. The pricepoint is $15 from my understanding and the game is about 6-8 hours long. I love survival games, gonna see what gaming community says and just might pick this one up.
Definitely picking this up. It's $15! Was completely satisfied with American Nightmare. I am actually looking forward to this a bit more. Only because I have experience Alan Wake before and I really wanted AW2.
Hey, Destructoid when reviewing it, please remember to check if it runs while not connected to XBL/PSN. Just saying, even though I'm not going to be getting this....I don't trust Ubisoft anymore.

I'm honestly blown away that they even had the decency to reprice it, given what they did with Dungeon Hunters. Certainly doesn't bode well for the quality of the product. They probably spent so much money on the anti-piracy garbage that they forgot to develop the rest of the game. I wanna like this, but I just don't see myself ever getting past that dirty Ubisoft logo.
just found out its a downloadable game? im curious to see how long the game is, and if playing it again really makes it any different? are items you find random etc? amount of real and dead end paths etc. could determine the replay value.
but it still looks pretty awesome. i love the idea of an exploring game with some form of stamina bar to make it thrilling and tense. kinda like SoTC. kinda wish uncharted had something like that for its climbing parts. i never felt like i was in danger during uncharted climbing parts.
I'm buying this even if the night before the reviews come out and everyone says it is complete and utter crap. I still want to experiance it first hand.
When a well-received big-budget game falls below that magical $20 price point, I'm in. Green Man Gaming has an excellent deal on Tomb Raider which drops the PC version from $49.99 all the way down to $16.99. And with the promo code GMG20-LLASD-D8WBQ, it's $13.60.
Yes, that is ridiculous! Act sooner than later, as the deal is good through the rest of the day.

Sure, the meme is a bit old but the added sound effects to the Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate video is what really made this spoof for me. Bravo, Capcom-Unity.
