CDV have partnered up with Marc Ecko Enterprises to bring out I <3 Geeks, a Rube Goldberg style puzzle game for the Nintendo DS where you use every day objects and the laws of physics to complete puzzles. You'll be given a set of objects such as candles, conveyor belts, wood and more to place on the touch screen to complete a Rube Goldberg style puzzle. There will be over 100 puzzles with most puzzles having multiple ways of getting solved.

In the story mode, you'll help the geeks and use their smarts to get back at the bullying jocks to win the heart of the Cheerleaders. Totally sounds like an episode of Saved by the Bell to me. Anyway, the game will have two-player support and should be out later this year. Check out some of the screens below and the fact sheet after the jump.

Just like all the other DS games by CDV, expect I <3 Geeks! to drop later this year. I don't know about you, but every time I watch/play anything Rube Goldberg style, I think of the music from this episode of Family Guy, which you can check out above.

Release Date: Q4 2008
Publisher: CDV Software Entertainment USA
Developer: SevenOne Intermedia
Genre: Puzzler
Platform: Nintendo DS
I YGeeks! is the ultimate puzzle experience,  challenging players to create sophisticated and humorous contraptions using dozens of objects and the laws of real-world physics  to solve over 100 brain teasers.
Produced in cooperation with Marc Ecko Enterprises, the game features a tongue-in-cheek story and hip art style where the brainy Geek overcomes the brawny (and bullying) Jocks, winning the heart of the beautiful Cheerleader.
 A friendly interface and helpful tutorial make it easy for players to jump right in. Cheerful animated characters introduce new mechanisms and laws of physics in puzzles of increasing complexity, many that can be solved multiple ways. Wireless support allows up to two players to face off against one another in timed puzzle-solving races.
Key Features include:
·    Fast and fun gameplay challenges players to solve unique puzzles with dozens of devices – rockets, sponges, candles, fans, conveyor belts, liquids, and more – combined with real-world application of the laws of physics -- inertia, friction, gravity, magnetism and others.
·    Stylus-driven gameplay allows players to easily move components, test out possible solutions, and fire up their crazy machines to see the results.
·    Over 100 puzzles of varying difficulty gradually increase the challenge, ensuring appeal to a wide range of abilities, even those with limited knowledge of physics.
·    Multiple ways to solve most puzzles means that there is no single correct answer.
·    Compete head-to-head against friends and family in multiplayer timed skill tests.Hip artwork and backstory developed by urban icon Marc Ecko and his team; challenging game mechanics based on a cooperative design by German television giant SAT1/Pro Sieben.

This reminds me A LOT of old The Incredible Machine (I think that's the title) games for PC and Macs. As long as we're not talking blatant rip-off, I'll be looking forward to playing this game!

Why do you guys hate Canada so much? Or more, basically anyone that isn't American (or at least living in America).

Looks like a lot of fun, I might check this out.

@Blind Assassin A little off subject, but I'll play ball. It's not that we hate Canada, It's that we quite frankly find you very unassuming. Which is probably a good feature for a country to have, no country really has a problem with Canada. The US on the other hand...

@Pacopaco:
It seems like this is the closest we're getting to one. A blatant rip-off is better than nothing, although the fact that Mark-Ecko has any involvement in this makes me uneasy about it.

@Ron

The video link is dead for anyone outside of the United States. That's why I brought it up. Even technically being a Canadian myself I probably have a level of anger at Canada that surpasses any hate held by average Americans. It's a nice place to live but to anyone with political knowledge and ambition it's an absolutely maddening place.

If this can match the level of awesome of The Incredible Machine, I might have to pick it up.

Too bad it has such a stupid name though.

If any of you guys want Incredible Machine-type fun, google "Armadillo Run". I spent many hours with that game.

Definitely my style of puzzle gaming. Hope it's not too linear in design, but will more than likely pick it up at release.

I agree with Fromagex, the Family Guy episode is clearly a tribute to Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Great movie, despite what you'd think going into it.

Yeah, "reminds me of this Family Guy"... what?!

Danny Elfman's "The Breakfast Machine" is such an awesome and well-known cue from he and Tim Burton's first project together, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, which is my favourite movie.

Anyway, there's a great Goldberg-style puzzle at the end of Waiting... starring Ryan Reynolds and Justin Long. Opens beer and pours in into a pitcher, thus saving you from having to do it yourself. And it involves Dominos.

T'will be interesting to see what this game is all about.
