To me, Hydro Thunder was always about violent rumble action and making boat racing even more over the top than it naturally is. Vector Unit seems to agree -- it's working on add-on content for October that is about "ratcheting up the level of insanity," according to creative director Matt Small.
The appropriately titled "Tempest Pack" for Hydro Thunder Hurricane introduces the following:
- Three levels: Atlantis, the Bermuda Triangle (!!!), and Castle Von Boom
- Two Expert-level boats: Whiplash and Psyclone
- "Supercharged" versions of the six Novice and Pro boats already in Hurricane
- New Championship, Ring Master, and Gauntlet events
The pricing and exact date have yet to be determined. Maybe they're waiting to see our reaction before slapping a number on this? Who knows.
