Hutta is a place you'll visit in SW: TOR photo

In the fairly short demonstration for Star Wars: The Old Republic at E3, I had the opportunity to view a small slice of the previously unannounced setting, Hutta. You can now check out what my eyes saw in the gallery below, as BioWare and LucasArts saw fit to drop the media in attendance plenty of screenshots of Jabba the Hutt’s infamous, but unseen, stealthily acquired home world.

As you may have noticed, Hutta isn’t a pretty place to be. Underneath the lavishness of Hutt existence are pits of noxious ooze and fumes. I was told the planet was a dangerous place, unfit for anyone other than a Hutt to visit.

In the game world, the Hutts are neutral -- they support neither the Jedi or the Sith in their galactic endeavors. That’s probably a good thing. No-one likes chilling with fat blobs with eyes, not to mention talking to one.

Everything I read about SW:TOR gives me a boner. Thank you Mr Nicholson for the boner.

Pretty sure Bioware announced Hutta on gametrailers about a month ago... in a developer interview.

Ok, it's probably going to be a fun game and I'll play the shit out of it with a bunch of friends.

That said, in respect to above screenshots and every other fucking bit of this game...

Not too be all nerdy and shit, but isn't the Hutt homeworld called Nal Hutta?

Can you play as a Hutt? I want to experience what it is like to sit around doing nothing all day.

My nerdiest moment of E3:

Bioware Doctor: "In SW:TOR, Star Wars fans will get to visit Hutta for the first time ever."

Arrested Developer: "Actually you were able to visit and conquer Hutta in Star Wars: Empire at War." *Adjust glasses on nose*

I've got a bad feeling about this.

I get the feeling this or Champions Online will get me playing an MMO again. After getting to 54 in WOW and not wanting to grind or get into a hardcore guild to get to 60, I think I have the fear.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but the amount of floor decal/grasstuff in the main image is really offputting. Looks bland and barren to the point it looks unfinished, yet around the roads the clutter there is plentiful. Screams graphical inconsistency to me.

I don't mean to be nit picky but I think I they updated this on their site at least a few weeks ago. It seems I'm turning a bit fanboyish over this game and I'm checking every day for news :">

@Kris
All these screens were on the developer's website over a month ago, but I think Brad is just reminding us that it plays great, since it wasn't actually playable for the public back then.

@SickNasty:

You are correct. It is in fact called Nal Hutta. Name change seems kinda odd.
