Admittedly, if you don't find the brand of humor found in The Simpsons TV show very funny, chances are The Simpsons Game isn't going to win you over anytime soon. Or will it?

The latest Simpsons-based game not only manages to stay true to the same comedy style that fans of the series have grown to love over the years (until about season 10 or so), but is also able to perfectly capture the essence of videogames as a medium with parodies like "Medal of Homer" and "Neverquest."

While the in-game camera may be pretty frustrating, I'm able to overlook that issue thanks to the game's fantastic visual style and excellent use of cut scenes. Quite simply, as a die-hard Simpsons fan and a gamer, I feel that The Simpsons Game has the potential to be one of the funniest pieces of entertainment to come out in recent memory.

Hit the jump for even more videos.

[Thanks for the heads up, Justin!]

The Simpsons Game hits just about every platform under the sun on October 30.

I've been eagerly anticipating this one since that first Medal of Homer trailer. Bring on the funny!

And for the record, the show is still funny. Sometimes.

Easily my favourite trailer. This game is going to rule (At least until Banjo Threeie comes out).

I haven't played a good platform game in years.

I was extremely psyched about this game until....the demo hit XBL. The camera is extremely frustrating. Grim I hope you are right, that this can be overcome. I have been a fan of the series since season one, and as said the cut scenes could make up for this.

Best part of the demo: Comic Book Guy "Video Game Cliches"

The demo seemed pretty boring actually, so if that's any indication of the final product then I doubt it'll be much better.

I hope the PS2 version lives up to this, as I don't have any 7th gen systems yet.

Man, this gets a big 'DO WANT' from me! Bonus points that I'll actually be able to play it (I've only got a Wii).

I wish they would've picked a better level for the demo. The Mr. Sparkle level would've been so much cooler.

Am I the only one who couldn't finish the demo? I couldn't get onto Lard Lad's second panel. It was pretty frustrating. The camera wasn't great, but it was managable.

Apart from the fact that the camera ia horrible, the gameplay is broken 50 different ways, and the characters move way too slow, the humour in this game is bloody top notch. I was laughing way more at the cut scenes in the demo than I ever have in any of the latest Simpsons seasons.

I can't really recall routinely laughing out loud while playing a game before I played Portal.

This is definitely an experience I'd like to replicate.

I was actually going to mention Portal in the post, but didn't end up doing so. That game had me laughing like a madman.

I am really excited about this game...I actually liked Hit and Run for the PS2, and I’m a huge fan of the show (the cutscenes look funnier than most of the past few seasons). I’ll have to wait until it becomes a greatest hits title or something, though...there are too many other games this season.

Which platform do you think this game will do best on?

I'll go with Xbox 360 because achievements are a good selling point. I haven't heard much on the Wii version, although there's a possibility that it could do very well based on the Wii's success alone.

I played the demo last night, and the humor is magnificent! It's like the writers are back in their prime again.

What really got me is the sheer amount of obscure episode references in the levels, like the Spirograph factory (What's up Doctor Spiro?), and the aliens finally getting the hint and attacking with the board with a anail through it.
