If you're interested in Animal Crossing: City Folk, then you will want to pay attention, because one dedicated Youtube channel is hosting an utter bucketful of videos which showcase Nintendo's upcoming Wii title.

Animal Crossing is a game that aims to simulate the life of an unemployed person -- doing menial cash-in-hand temp jobs that no other wanker wants to do and only having woodland creatures as friends. The videos show off all of the features found in the series' Wii debut, so it should be of great interest to all AC fans out there.

The vids are being mined from the game's Japanese site and uploaded to Youtube for your viewing convenience. In other news, there is also a ridiculously huge list floating around the Internet which has collected information on most of the features found in City Folk. Hit the jump to have a peek for yourself.

It's mildly interesting, just like the last two. Maybe I'll give it a go if my friends are still playing, if I ever get around to picking up a Wii.

You know, it's not the actual sights of the town and city, it's inhabitants, fishing, walking around, or anything of that sort that makes me want to pick this game up and jump in.

It's the music. That music just brings back so many memories of me running around and having fun in the DS version that I want to get this game so badly. I just can't help myself. :D

I'm torn between wanting this game badly, and knowing that within half a year my village will be a ghost town filled with weeds.

Yeah, the graphics look crappy, they've added nothing new (other than 3D tools apparently) and taken away the NES cartridges that were such a cool part of the Gamecube game, and the whole thing is basically a weed picking, apple picking simulator. I know all of this. And yet, I will buy it and play obsessively for a few months.

As much as I liked this type of game I'll be too burned out from playing 2 harvest moons at the same time (wii and DS)

I've bought this game twice already. While I obsessively played each version, and even wrote some fishing/bug guides for AC:WW, I just can't fathom shelling out money to do the same pointless animal errands for a third time. I have nothing but fond memories of my time playing the other two games, but $50 for a version with no NES games and no touch-screen pixel editor? No thanks.
