HUGE Members: Claim your full game from IndieGameStand

6:00 PM on 09.27.2013 // Niero Desu

Everyone else: there's a 15% off sale on everything

If you love meticulously-crafted, quality indie games as much as we do, this is for you.

For the past year, IndieGameStand (IGS) has been helping indie game developers promote and sell their games with four-day pay-what-you-want sales, and today they've launched a digital game store where indies can set their own price and distribute direct to customers.  They're currently having a 15% off sale though the end of September, so go check them out!

Huge Members: Download one of their top games for free

To celebrate the launch of our game store, Destructoid has partnered with IndieGameStand to give out over a thousand full games from their shop. We're giving our HUGE members first dibs to download a free game. Grab your full free game code. Once you receive your code, create an account on IGS (or login with Facebook) then redeem that code here.

Check out videos of all of the games we're giving away below, as blogged by their team:

Gnormoria is a sandbox village management.  At the time, it was their most successful sale and was greenlit on Steam a few weeks later.  "Using our developer portal, Robotronic Games was able to distribute Steam keys to all of their IndieGameStand customers after launching on Steam early access."

Escape Goat helped launch IndieGameStand a year ago, so it’s only fitting to highlight this wonderful gem.  "Escape Goat is a platform puzzle game where the rooms of your prison move and change before your very eyes.  Escape Goat 2 is currently in development and will launch on the IndieGameStand store this fall."

Gimbal is an online multiplayer shooter where you build and design your own ships.  "We like to think that we helped discover Gimbal, resulting in it being one of our top performing sales this first year, but that could just be a result of the deep gameplay and awesome physics engine."

Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller is a dramatic point and click crime adventure serial.  "Phoenix Online Studios has been a tremendous supporter of our site and continues to bring each subsequent episode of this riveting series to our platform.  Of course, it’s easy to feature this game as a staff pick due to its gripping storytelling."

Aztaka is an indie throwback to the good old side-scrolling action RPG genre.  "In this gorgeous hand-painted world you play Huitzilo, heir of the Sun God, able to wield both spear and spell.  The IGS staff selected this game because of its stunning hand drawn graphics and niche genre."

Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite space is a sci-fi roguelike game that forged the genre and inspired recent indie games like FTL.  "Digital Eel has been our most featured indie developer this past year with three different sales.  Weird Worlds is one of their most successful games and they are currently at work on the 3rd game in the series after a successful Kickstarter campaign."

Krunch is an old-school race against time to survive and escape.  "Originally made as a prototype for Ludum Dare, LeGrudge and Rugged expanded their game idea into their first commercial release. The IGS staff selected Krunch because it is an excellent example of taking a prototype to a full commercial release.  We also love the challenge!"

Megabyte Punch is a MegaMan meets SmashBros mashup that IGS featured as a Beta. "Megabyte Punch has always been an IGS favorite and we most recently showcased it at PAX East.  It’s an adventure combat game where you build your own robot fighter from the pieces of your foes."

Zigfrak is a space-based action RPG, featuring missions, exploration, and crafting. "With an emphasis on loot and over-the-top items, it's not a traditional space sim. The IGS staff selected Zigfrak because we’re addicted to loot and love how enemy ships explode like loot piñatas."

Dungeon Dashers is an action packed, turn-based, co-operative dungeon crawler that the IGS staff fell in love with at GDC this year. It brings the enjoyment of a fantasy tabletop board game to the computer and is currently in development with a planned release by the end of the year.

The Real Texas is an action adventure game that plays like a mashup of Zelda: Link to the Past and Ultima VI.  What really shines in the Real Texas is the well-written story and incredibly quirky and wacky universe. The IGS staff selected this title because of this uniqueness.  The Real Texas embodies what an Indie Game is all about.

Vox is a voxel based adventure RPG that is still in Alpha development.  "The game is all about customizing and building anything that you can imagine and allows for unparalleled creativity.  The IGS staff selected Vox because it deserves more attention and to be greenlit on Steam."

SpaceChem is an obscenely addictive, design-based puzzle game about building machines and fighting monsters in the name of science. "The IGS staff selected this game because it's one of the most difficult indie puzzle games around -- an absolute must play for anyone looking for a challenge."

Paranautical Activity brings classic FPS action inspired by games like Doom & Quake and adds the randomness of roguelikes to create something truly unique for the Windows, Mac and Linux platforms.  The developers, Mike Maulbeck and Travis Pfenning, have been very supportive and praised our platform on Twitter.

Want to discover even more games?  Check out the all new IndieGameStand for more details. We're very excited about their new launch and a proud supporter of their developers.

Gave Ronin one more chance before I chucked it in the "never to be finished" pile, glad I did. It could have been so much better but as a frustrating time waster it's not bad.

I'm sitting on the Fapcast's most recent recording. I just feel like I need a day for myself after, you know, freaking out about rent.

Why is every Quickpost now spaced out like poems with random amounts of stanzas that never ever rhyme?

Am I the only one who has to pull up their sleeves to play competantly at videogames? When my hoodie's sleeves are down I play like a piece of shit but when i pull them up, I have more flexibility.

PSA: Just picked up Falco amiibo at Best Buy. They had about 20 Tom Nook, 10 singles of Splatoon Boy/Girl, the Splatoon triple pack, about 30 Marths with a big sign saying "Look Who's Back!," Dark Pit, and probably about 15 others. Not too shabby.

I long for the day that people get over their weird circle jerk hatred for FFXIII related things and just ignore things they don't care about.

Being a video game-focused website, it's not often I get to gush about Godzilla. So have a link to one of my favorite tracks in the entire series:

Fallout 4 really does bring back memories. Specifically, memories of finding unlikely loot on a animal's corpse. I'm just grateful that Bloatfly didn't know how to use that 15 pound flamethrower it was apparently carrying in its bum bag.

I no longer require seasoning for my Thanksgiving dinner because between the Lightning post here and Undertale beating Fallout 3 in the "best game" vote on GameFAQs, I have all the salt I need. (Image) [img][/img]

Thanks for that Mother 4 article yesterday I've been listening to nothing but GBA-era soundtracks, truly my golden years of gaming.
