Other than Bomberman and party games what did Hudson do that males their closing (or reopening or whatever) so sad? Sucks that people will lose their jobs but beyond that.
This really is unfortunate. I was always a big fan of Hudson's IP's, especially the Adventure Island series (although I could never beat the one I had), and of course, Bomberman.
However, it doesn't come as much of a surprise. I don't recall Hudson doing much other than releasing two Bomberman games on XBL over the years.

Oh wow that is even worse than I expected. Well, least Konami can do is to keep supporting Hudson's old franchises.

We'll miss out on any potential iterations on the Bonk's Adventure franchise, which really is a shame.

They were a pretty big player back in the NES days...
And then they tried to support NEC and the PC-Engine/TG16. Downfall started there. Good games tough!

Hudson was dead to me after the N64. I haven't enjoyed anything they've done on the Wii or whatever else they made in the last five years.

As much as it is sad i can't say i fell entirely sorry for them, Hudson didn't do anything interesting/worth mention in the last decade that i can remember, if you want to feel true sadness then think of Atlus, a company that became the new Square soft, that constantly gave awesome experiences and that seems destined by his new parent company to make mobile phone games, now that, THAT is something worth to be depressed about, Hudson? not so much.

probably my favorite hudson game.. besides that, i honestly didnt like a ton of stuff they did.. i just respected them because the pc engine was pretty rad. im a ridiculously huge bonk fan, but bonk was by red entertainment, hudson just published it. i also loved bomberman on 64 (weird, i know) quite a bit in hs.
either way, this is sad. i really like konami, but mostly for their old stuff.

Damn, that's really a shame. I mean, granted, they've been putting out a lot of casual games lately that I haven't cared about, but I'll miss not having a new Bomberman game on every new platform.
They were pretty much always casual game peeps anyway.
