I seriously doubt anyone will buy ME3 for the Wii U. Not because it's a bad game, not because it's a bad system, but ME3 simply doesn't stand on its own.
Well that's all well and good, but why couldn't they do something like that for us PS3 owners who played the first game on a different console? I just went out and bought another 360 because I felt like I was missing out on the whole story by playing it sans ME1 on the PS3.
Ironically, I haven't played ME3 because I played 1&2 and don't want them ruined by it.

I have money set aside for the Wii U, and I am really happy about this. I played ME 1 and 2 on my computer, bought through Steam. I don't want to use Origins. So, having it as a Wii U title is great for me.
I won't be able to use my save game from the computer, but at least I will be able to play it.

Except, like everything Bioware touches lately, it was done half ass. If you saved the one person, it showed them die and vice versa. Also no matter who you choose to romance, it showed a picture of Kaiden in your room. Oh, and in Overlord the Hammerhead will fall right through the earth for no reason. Worst port ever.

The comic for ME2 on ps3 sucked. Not only was the art shitty, but no mention of the Thorian or Kirrahe...come to find out Kirrahe is considered dead on ps3. The fuck.

Well, don't I feel silly. I never pay attention to those little inserts in the box because they're ususally for something stupid, like a gun or a piece of armor. Here, I totally missed out on not only that comic, but Zaeed too!

Same thing they did with ME2 on PS3. I'm sure it'll be a two part interactive comic that recaps the events of the first to games and lets you make major decisions that carry over into ME3.
I get why they're not porting ME1 to PS3 or Wii U. Microsoft owns the console publishing rights for it. But I honestly think it would have been smart for EA to port ME2 with all of its DLC and bundle it with ME3 for like $60. As is I can't see many people buying this.

I don't see where the confusion is coming from.. They did this crap for the PS3 people (and ultimately everyone else eventually, I believe) when they finally got Mass Effect 2.

Yeah, this is pretty much what I expected. Hopefully they put more work into it than they did the comic for the PS3.
Sounds like what they did with ME2 on PS3. But the real question is who was waiting for the Wii U to get this game when it's been available on 360, PS3, and PC? Is the Wii U version going to contain any additional content? Probably not.

I really love this series and I can't imagine anyone starting with 3. For one, it doesn't stand alone very well. Additionally, I think it would be a huge disservice for anyone who would actually enjoy this game to start with this one first.
So pretty much the same thing the PS3 version of ME2 had. But I gathered from all the bitching that took place awhile back that your previous choices don't really mean dick in ME3 anyway, so who really cares?

That sounds dreadful no matter what they do. The ME1 recap in ME2 for PS3 was bad enough, but summarizing both and letting you make some general choices lets you play a gimped game. Especially considering there a tons of little decisions that can affect ME3. Worst version of ME3 goes to the Wii-U
Went to the Wii U event in DC last week.....and came away not even having the tiniest bit of desire to purchase a Wii U this fall.
This could be a bigger fiasco for Nintendo than the N64 and Gamecube.....they didn't fix the online issues, and don't have a must have game for launch like Gamecube, N64, and Wii had.....

That seems rather unnecessary as the overwhelming majority of the choices you make in the first two games dont really matter in ME3 other than a few cameos here and there we still get the endingtron 3000 at the end of the game with 4 choices
Why all the ME3 hate? I've played the series since the original and Ive loved every minute of it. What, are you gonna throw a tantrum because the princess is "in another castle"?

Dude i'm the SAME way.... I flipped my Shit for ME1, and while the mission choices were a bit limited, considering it was a new IP, it was amazing.... but then I was all like "OMFG ME2, Launch day, Time off work, GAMEZ...."
Boot it up. No Liara, No Wrex (I let him live) Kaiden was useless and depressed.... if it wasn't for Tali and Garrus coming back, I'd have stopped playing... but honestly, after the demo for ME3, I seriously lost all desire to play it... don't get me wrong, I'm holding out until a triple pack with all the damnable DLC and added characters, so I can go through it all over again, only go the paragon route and bang ashley.

Why not just port them? Mass Effect 1-3 collection all in one package. This is why I hate it when new systems come out. The new systems get sequels to games that weren't on their previous console.
