Hot deal is hot: Pre-order Ninja Gaiden II, get Halo 3 Legendary Map pack free photo
     Ninja Gaiden

Good morning, fellow penny pinchers! While I know a lot of you steadfastly refuse to pre-order videogames (the man is evil, I can just buy it when it comes out, you suck, etc.), Circuit City has an offer I'm sure some of you can't refuse.

If you pre-order Ninja Gaiden II, Circuit City will email you a code for the Halo 3 "Legendary Map Pack." The pack contains three maps, and is an 800 MS Point value, or $10 in human money. Of course, if you just want to spend the dough, the Halo 3 map pack (along with a free theme) is available today on Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

For those on the fence about Ninja Gaiden II, it's a pretty safe bet to say that if you're a fan of the original game, you'll feel right at home here. I've been playing a preview build for the past few days and everything that made the original great is still here: intense action, fierce difficulty, wild weapons and ninpo, and an obnoxious camera. Wait, that last one didn't make the game great, but it's back anyway (at least in the preview build). Keep your eyes peeled for my full impressions and details later this week.

[Thanks, Sean!]

So does that mean that Ninja Gaiden II is gonna suck (I don't believe that it will), cuz I figured that this game would sell itself and not need to ride on the coattails of a game like Halo 3. I always thought that unrelated bundles like this were put in place to help boost the sales of a mediocre game (cough*Crackdown*cough).

why Circut City though? Who the hell decided to help them out when they're at their death door?

I'll pass. Even if its just free maps. Not like I play Halo 3 that much anyway.

Nice deal if you have Halo3 and are gonna preorder NG2 anyway. I almost hate you for playing it already, Nick! Almost..

wait.. how much do you have to preporder gaiden for?

Only $5? Then this is totally worth it, even if you don't want gaiden, that's half off the xbl price.

bah, nevermind, you have to buy the full game. I thought this may have been made of greasy win, but it turns out its just some dude licking a turd.

I guess someone wants a surge in Halo 3 activity rather than CoD4, which seems to have stolen its thunder. Seems kind of a weak offer, IMHO, but I'm not a big FPS fan, even less of a Halo fan.

Dude, homophobia is only for 11 year olds on xbox live. Please expand your vocabulary if you're going to hate on something inanimate.

Don't worry king3vbo, I'm seeing them following in the footsteps of Sharper Image. I personally have no clue how Circuit City has survived as long as it has, but I get tons of advertisements from them that are extending no-payment deals into 2010 just to get them sales.

Can anyone confirm if I would be able to cancel my order? Because Id like to pre order, get the code, then cancel my order since I can just pick up the game instead of wating for it to ship

If I was picking up Ninja Gaiden 2 right away, I'd totally do this. As it is, I still need to play Ninja Gaiden Black.
