Holy Mega Busters: Mega Man movie trailer is incredible photo

Watch this.

Normally I'd be the wrong guy to write about a movie trailer. The problem is that I hate Hollywood and just about anything that comes out of it as far as blockbuster movies go. I'd rather get behind more original works, ones that still aim for creativity and not cash.

This Mega Man film by Eddie Lebron is something I can totally get behind. First off, I've seen a lot of low budget stuff, and this looks fantastic for low budget. But, so far, I love everything about this. The casting, the look, the costumes, um... Roll, Wily's facial expressions -- everything. And, as a musical composer of other fan film soundtracks, I'd give my left nut to work on this one.

Check out Lebron's page for more details on Mega Man and his other works. We can't wait to see this flick. What do you think?

Uh, I agree. Simply because it's low-budget doesn't make it good. This was embarrassingly cheesy all around. It's passable in a video game, but makes me cringe as a movie.

I probably wouldn't want to watch the entire film, but bravo to them for what they've made here. It's cheesy and it's low-budget, but it's fun and it stays true to the source material.

Dr. wily was a greasy sumbitch, but fantastic nevertheless.

@vexed alex (and other people I forgot)
I think you're missing the point. Being low-budget doesn't make it good. It's most impressive because it's low-budget and, yet, it doesn't look like total shit. I mean, granted, it's not realistic and elaborately done, but given what the filmmakers are likely working with, it's very impressive. It's a good-looking fan film and, frankly, it's probably a lot more spot-on than Hollywood would manage.

@pedrovay
Wait for it. It took a long, long time to load for me. It's probably getting hammered by traffic from gaming blogs.

Did anybody think that, when Roll speaks, she sounds like Stella Wong? O_o

@Batthink

I didn't until you mentioned it, and now watching the trailer again that's all I can hear.

They needed more Protoman standing in a sunset with his cape flowing, ie a stock Michael Bay shot.

is the guy with the paintball mask supposed to be Fire man? He needs the shock of red hair, then I am absolutely sold. That looks amazing.

You can only put so much lipstick on a pig...

Fucking horrible. Anybody who thinks that was good is an idiot. Fact.

This looks like a lot of fun and lovingly made...what's with all the hate?

Seriously, why?

It was certainly cheesy, but I expected no less. While I doubt it holds up as a whole film, I can definitely see it being released in 'levels' to play off of the game (different boss encounters, power-ups, etc.).

Looks super-decent. I can't hate on it. Mega-Maaaayun! We got like 23 sequel opportunities, too. Genius.

This is amazing.

There is some pretty good effects work in this trailer. For some guy just making a movie, this is brilliant.

I've studied film, and made my share of miniature productions. It is NOT easy to do things this well.

Oh, great...
Now I must change pants!

Seriously though, it has just the slightest hint of not taking itself seriously that they could pull it off (look at roll's wig, lol).
