Normally I'd be the wrong guy to write about a movie trailer. The problem is that I hate Hollywood and just about anything that comes out of it as far as blockbuster movies go. I'd rather get behind more original works, ones that still aim for creativity and not cash.
This Mega Man film by Eddie Lebron is something I can totally get behind. First off, I've seen a lot of low budget stuff, and this looks fantastic for low budget. But, so far, I love everything about this. The casting, the look, the costumes, um... Roll, Wily's facial expressions -- everything. And, as a musical composer of other fan film soundtracks, I'd give my left nut to work on this one.
Check out Lebron's page for more details on Mega Man and his other works. We can't wait to see this flick. What do you think?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
That's amazing.
How do I get a finished copy?
How do I donate to production cost?
They fucking nailed the teleport!
Holy Shit.
Otherwise, this looks like the hotness!
now, waiting for MGS Philanthropy
Now . excuse me, am gonna jack off now
Dr Willy was great, that greasy looking touch was amazing.
And the costumes where great.
FAP FAP FAP
I can't tell if this is supposed to be serious or a joke...
The teleport was cool, and Dr. Wily was fun, but really?
Kind of what I'm thinking...
if this is cereal, then pardon me for interrupting the fap-fest, but that was terrible. the 'costumes-by-walmart' production design i can forgive (hey, it's low budget), but the terrible acting and wily's hilarious accent make this a joke.
and no, i'm not some halo-addicted 12-yr old. i grew up on the nes, and the mega man series is one of my favorites, but if you're trying to drag some dramatic story out of it, then you're doing it wrong.
Great job to the creators!!
That said, cue cease and desist order from Capcom's lawyers in 3...2...
@ BeZen:
I'm pretty sure the music is from either Batman Begins or The Dark Knight.
That's what I thought too....Roll is kinda creepy...and kinda looks like a dude.
Reminds me of the Flight of the Concords Fan Club/stalker girl ha ha
Now, the important part: did anybody else see Rock playing an NES? Watch it again if you need to, it's near the end.
Also, I really liked the Cut Man costume, though it's a little reminiscent of Bumblebee from Transformers...don't know if that's a good or bad thing.
When Hollywood has millions of dollars and resources to pull from, and they make something unrecognizable or unfaithful to the original IP, yep, that's crap.
When "a dude in his basement" makes a non-profit fan film with not even close to the millions in resources, and its instantly recognizable as understanding the source material, yep, that's good.
So you were kinda close. :)
Hopefully the guy will get some sort of backing so that it doesn't suck later.
