Bigpoint Games is celebrating the one-year anniversary of it's Battlestar Galactica Online, and it wants to cap off the week long festivities by reaching 10 million registered users.

"BSGO is a breakthrough title that has empowered us to change perceptions of the kind of gaming experience that can be delivered through a web browser. We're excited to move forward with this momentum, celebrate our achievements, and reward all of our players in the community who helped us get to this point," said CEO and Bigpoint Games Founder Heiko Hubertz.

As part of the celebration, Bigpoint Games is offering registered Battlestar Galactica Online users free in-game items, as well as added bonuses for recruiting new players. I'm not sure how faithful the game may be to the series fiction, but if there is as much Edward James Olmos as the site promises then count me in!
