Holiday Steam sale: Left 4 Dead 2, KOTOR, and more photo

Unsurprisingly, the second set of Steam sales during this five-day-long promotion in which a bunch of new deals are activated each day is another attention grabber.

The $50 uber THQ collection that I mentioned last time is still available, and I still think you should purchase it. As for the limited-time-only stuff, there's Left 4 Dead 2 for $37.49, Knights of the Old Republic for $2.49, and Dead Space for $14.99.

There are a few more to pick from, but those were the select ones that really stand out in my mind. Also, there's Majesty 2, which is a lowly $9.99. I think I'm going to get that, for sure. Is that a wise idea, anyone who's played it?

$2.49 for KoTOR? No excuse for anyone not to have this anymore.. As for Majesty, I played the first one and quite enjoyed it, but I don't know about the 2nd. Didn't even know there was a 2nd game.

Only $2.49 for KoToR? Guess I'll finally check it out on the PC.

Already picked up Kotor, can't wait to play it once I finish Mass Effect.

Seriously, $15 spent so far on Mass Effect, Team Fortress 2, and Kotor, combined.

That's awesome.

I already own KOTOR for the Xbox. I'm not even interested in playing my Xbox copy, possibly ever again.

I bought it on Steam anyway.

Why? It's $2.49. Plus, the game seems like it would be more tolerable and interesting on PC. (I hate the combat system, plus I think the quite linear story gets boring after one or two playthroughs.) The somewhat slow-paced gameplay seems like it would go better with a mouse and keyboard. Plus, I mean, $2.49.

I picked up Left 4 Dead 2 on Steam today, figured I might as well since it was on sale.

Two and a half bucks for KOTOR. Sold good sirs. Also pick up Madballs; you'll get a guest pass for your friends to try the game out.

To anyone that's never played KOTOR: $2.50 is a steal. Do yourself a favor and go play one of the best RPGs ever.

You're welcome.

Such a great deal on Kotor. I'm tempted to buy it again despite having the disks XP

Loved Dead Space on ps3. insane to see one of my all time favorite games for 15 bucks.

This was the game that made my pc cry, and made me buy a ps3 while it was 250 last xmas.

they 'say' Processor: 2.8 GHz or faster

but as i found out - they are lying. For AMD you need a dual core.

my athlon3200 wouldn't launch the game - just black screened.

EA and steam said 'tough'

I picked up Majesty 2, Giantbomb's quick look sold me on it. Kotor I'm still considering, I just beat it again on Xbox so I don't have the nostalgia factor weighing to heavily on me now.

Nabbed Batman on the first day. I'd get L4D2 if I had the moolah. Luckily Valve loves putting their titles on sale. I'll probably pick it up whenever it gets the next sale.

Also, buy friggin' KOTOR if you don't own it already.

I bought KotOR because I hear nothing but good things. Not really a Star Wars fan, and I liked Force Unleashed, so I hope this is as good as they say.

I LOVE STEAM.

...Just played KOTOR for the first time.

Man has that game not aged well. The graphics remind me of N64 crap and the controls are insanely horrible.

*sigh* at least it was only $2.50. I'll play it eventually I suppose.

Got Far Cry 2 and Osmos day one, KOTOR day two. Got L4D2 from Amazon for $30. I'll have to see what this Majesty 2 is all about, so I might pick that up as well.

I just bought KotOR this evening to know the whole fuss about it, I have heard a lot of it so I guessed I should give it a chance.

Also was thinking about getting Dead Space, but I am seduced on buying a retail version of Counter-Strike: Source instead as it includes Day of Defeat: Source as well (though I'd prefer an actual retail version of that individual game as well)

I got L4D2 through gamestop.com for around 35 yesterday but since i already had 30 on a gift card I pretty much had to take advantage of that. Hoping for even better deals tomorrow!

@Monodi, I'm not really sure a retail version of DoD:S exists at all...

Anyway, totally getting KotOR, I'm deciding on Majesty, but I'll pass on L4D2, I'll wait for the next sale...

Still hoping for Torchilight (yes, I'm cheap :D)

@ dwolfwood

If the controls bother you it might be the PC arrow style, which you can change to a more standard WASD setup in the options menu.

As for graphics I highly suggest you go to www.widescreengamingforum.com to get the game running in widescreen and with an HD HUD.

Remember people, PC games means tweaks, especially on older stuff, to get the optimal experience.

Already have Kotor on steam but I think I am going to buy it for a friend for Christmas. I agree with everyone that mentioned it, Torchlight is something I seriously want to try if it's on sale this weekend

Damn Kotor must have sold well for so many people to have it already or be buying it now.

Yeah I bought Kotor today for £1.74, and then I enabled console cheats and used a save game editor. Having never played it on PC I found the ability to make Carth into Saul and Bastilla into Malak hilarious.

all that these Steam holiday sales are doing is ensuring that my friends and family will hate me when I spend all their present money on games for myself. Hopefully they'll just be excited at how good of a deal I got on them.

That's like a present for them right?
