Del Rey has announced a second novel based on the Hitman series of videogames. Hitman: Damnation will be released in Summer 2012 in North America, and will follow in other countries around the world. Its story takes place between games Hitman: Blood Money and Hitman: Absolution, following Agent 47 on an assassination mission of high-level American political figures.
The novel will be written by Raymond Benson. He has published six James Bond novels, three 007 film novelizations and under the pseudonym David Michaels wrote Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and its sequel, Operation Barracuda.
Dale North is Destructoid's Editor-In-Chief, a founding editor, and specialist in Japanese gaming. An accomplished musician, Dale was reporting from Japan during the earthquakes of 2011. Luckily, he got the fuck out alive and is home in America now with his wife and beloved corgi, Einstein. Dale is also a co-founder of Destructoid's sister anime site

I heard that other than DS2 his work is actually quite decent.
Damn! I wanted to bring up Darkseed 2.
And didn't the MGS novel turn Snake into a quipping murderer? Someone know how that one turned out?
I just praised it, it's fine. Not done with it yet but it's a decent adaptation.
'The haze slowly dissipated. Snake opened his eyes to see a dark room highlighted by bits of flame and smoldering brick and steel. He was lying on something hard that was somehow familiar.
His sneaking suit had been removed. He was bare-chested, wearing only skintight pants.
“Sleeping late as usual, Snake?”
Snake’s eyes rolled toward the voice. Liquid stood twenty feet away. He, too, was dressed only in tight pants. '
“Merry Christmas,” Snake said as he delivered two powerhouse punches, left and then right, into the guards’ faces. The soldiers plopped to the floor. “I forgot to tell you — Christmas is early this year.”
