Well, sometimes when I want to try different ways of playing it will happen. ......Gorman?
I sneak into the dinner party dressed as the caterer I drugged and in the trunk of one of their cars. Realizing that only a security officer can get into the upper rooms where my target is, I pull one into the elevator. I then hit the emergency stop to allow myself time to switch clothing and stash the body in the escape hatch. Ready to continue, I get off on the upper floor and head for the security office.
I choke out the one watching the video monitors and use his radio to call a fake alert to clear the way a bit more. Stealing the tape to prevent myself from being known, I head for the target's room.
He's facing the window, oblivious to the fact that these are his final moments. I silently approach him, hand at my side. Then I pull out my submachine gun and fuck the whole plan.
There's no way in hell I'll pay for this game until I know without a grain of doubt that it's at least as good as the last. I hear so much as a squeak about chest high walls and I'll go to the nearest SquareEnix facility and give them a box of tasty cupcakes in protest!
That'll show 'em.
But then something hit me. What if the new Hitman is a scripted 3rd person cover shooter? Whatever, if that would be the case I'd just buy the game to piss all over the cover and send it back to Squeenix.
Might consider picking up a special edition for the artbook and making of DVD, if it's not too expensive. Why didn't they include a statue of 47 or mini replicas of his signature silver ballers? Those things would have sold special editions like hotcakes, I think.
Totally agree with you there. But I the DLC has to be substantial enough to make me give a fuck in the first place. I'm currently biding my time for the ultimate, or final, or whatever edition of Kingdoms of Amalur, for instance, but I could give a rats ass about any complete edition of this game if it's just a bunch of extra guns.
I wouldn't say day one purchases are completely stupid though. But I am only willing to pick up this thing up day one because I've been a colossal fan of the series since Hitman 2, and I want to support its sales so they make more, you know, without a six year gap between releases.
You feel stupid for buying a new game? Pfft. The industry has created an environment in which I am utterly ashamed to be called, or call myself a "gamer" by any form of the definition. Though I totally agree with you, HaVoK308. It is a shame though. Personally I'm more waiting for this generation to end simply to turn my back forever on gaming. I'm going back into firearm collecting personally. Atleast I'll own what I buy, and have equity. Somthing the industry is trying very, very hard to take away from us now (and has all but pretty much accomplished said objective).

2. This "special" edition isn't even worth $10 more...
1) This happens -A LOT.. Theres really no sense in complaining on when they announce things.
2) I'll agree with that.. This isn't any better then -say- the Raccoon City CE that was only $10 more then the base game (only -you know- Hitman MIGHT be a better game)
@KermitJagger
Yes, the link to the preorder pages for each store.. how could they not want to litter their article with unnecessary links you can look up yourself...
Seeing as how no Hitman game really should ever require guns, its not like the bonus' matter any way, so buy where you normally buy your games and quit complaining about unnecessary things.
Not really sure where they're going in this one, though. 47's already killed his "father", gone back to his work because it's the only thing he's truly good at (and accepting it), and has faced two near-death experiences in close succession.
