Sure, Activision's big holiday title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is about to hit shelves. In fact, you might be on your way out the door to head over to a midnight launch right now.
But while I haven't played through all of Modern Warfare 2, I'm pretty sure Jurassic: The Hunted -- Activision's other big holiday title -- is a better game. Here are some facts: you can't mount a machine gun and kill velociraptors and pteranodons with it, and "Soap" MacTavish doesn't punch a single dinosaur in the face in Modern Warfare 2. Because of these facts, it's obvious which of the two games is your best bet in terms of spending your money.
Because the response to our Ten Minute Taste of Jurassic: The Hunted went over so well, I simply had to share the following video. Yes, that's the part where you mount a machine gun and take out dinosaurs in the jungle. It's as amazing as it sounds, and is the best use of 1:52 minutes of your life. Guaranteed.
I agree wholeheartedly. Call of Dino is a far better use of my money and time. While y'all are worrying about the terrorizers I'll be defending us against thunderlizards.
What... what WAS that? Why did the velociraptors sound like angry cats? Why is there a QTE for punching a dinosaur in the throat? Why does my head suddenly hurt?
I watched the Giantbomb Quicklook (watch it, Ryan Davis literally leaves at one point, the game is that bad) on this and rented it for the sole reason for playing it trashed out of my mind.... I can't even play it sober, the aiming and hit detection is soooo awful
