High Voltage is busy bringing over their engine to the 3DS and they say that the results are "very good." Chief creative officer Eric Nofsinger told Eurogamer that they'd have something close to Conduit 2 on the 3DS by the time GDC rolls around.
"We've got environments from this already up and running around. You can shoot, you can select different weapons and you can see enemies. It runs pretty darn well with full 3D and everything."
High Voltage is also jazzed about the improved Friend Code system for the 3DS. Nofsinger is hoping for true handheld online multiplayer this time around.
With the respectable power under the hood of the 3DS and the improved Friend Code system, a new Conduit for 3DS sounds like it could be something to look forward to.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Because nobody wants it to stop, check it out"
This could work. But NGP fanboys will disagree :(
Anyone who thinks an analog stick is supirior to a touchscreen forn FPS controls has clearly never played Hunters... Actually an analog stick is amoung the worst of control types for an FPS (don't get me wrong though, I love games like KZ2).
Already said that, butthead. :<

Bringin' you up and takin' you down?
People say they're alright with the PSP's size but man it's annoying to hold a huge portable. Besides, the original DS was heavy as shit and carrying it around with a single hand could lead to cramps. I myself never came across such problem(nylon guitars have strengthened my left thumb enough over the years) but I can easily see that happening. What's troublesome is the lack of face buttons, but then again, the D-pad, motion controls and some touchable screen corners can do the trick.
My argument
If we can use the digital pad, two analog sticks, 4 face buttons and 4 shoulder buttons at the same time, you can easily do the Circle pad, D-pad, shoulder button, 4 face buttons, and the ability to hold a ounce pen on a touchscreen.
If you can't do that, I can't see you playing the NGP at all my friend.
It wasn't a launch title. The demo of it was. The thing that made Metroid Prime Hunters sub-par was that it kept none of the previous games sensibilities. There was no exploration, armour upgrades, it was more focused on plain combat, and that's never what made the other Prime games good.
Also, I imagine there will be options beyond touch screen control, the 3D camera and gryo also can replace a second analog. Of course, you have to hear fatties cry about moving if they go with that. Get a swiveling computer chair.
Dual analog is great for third person and exploration titles, but as far as FPS goes it will inferior to anything that gives you 1:1 freelook. Motion controls, touch controls and mouse and keyboard all have a serious advantage there.
I hope they add the gyro option for free looking, because I want to be able to literally swivel 180 degrees in my chair and watch my character turn around. :D That would be so uhmazing
