Hey bub, official X-Men Origins: Wolverine site is live and slashable photo

We’re all curious about Raven’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Not much has been revealed about the title. Thus far we know it has Wolverine, a helicopter, trees and a fast combo-based fighting system with “brutal finishing moves.”

That knowledge base could change if you visited the property’s official website. Every time you swipe your mouse on the main page, a phantom knuckle with claws slashes the logo. A hit counter is keeping tracking of all the slashes the page receives. If it reaches an unknown magic number, Raven will update the Web site with more information about the game.

Aside from the slashing, there is an interesting 3D screenshot of Wolverine in the Xbox 360 version of the game. We tossed up a gallery of a few different looks, but feel free to play with it yourself and jot down your experience in the comments.

If you just take the claws out of those screens, he becomes a male Lara Croft. Which isn't a bad thing, necessarily.

I was reading in an EGM that they made three layers of Wolverine that you're going to see over the course of him getting chopped up in the game. You have the top layer: clothes/skin, the muscle layer, and the bone layer.

Apparently you will be able to watch his wounds heal up in real time, layer to layer, and the more damage he takes, the longer it takes him to heal it. Looks cool though.

I prefer the concept art from this gallery to the finished product. They'd really focused on the 'Photo-realism' angle, and that seems to have been lost now.

Why are game companies so afraid to give male characters armpit hair?

Meh, Ive given up on video games based on movies which are based off of comic books. Although Gothlam Asylum looks good, and I really hope it will be.

Wolverine (logan at this time) has bone claws. This is waaaaay before he joins the X-Men when still in the military. Hence the name X-Men origins

I worked on this Teaser site and you should wait till you see the trailer which is coming soon.

Raven have set out to "make a Wolverine game (even a movie game) that doesn't suck shit"

that's not a direct quote thats me summarizing what I've heard.

@mrtruffle

NERD!

sorry I'm sure you already know, but somebody needed to say it, or type it.

Also, cuz I'm curious and I'm sure you know, when he had bone claws did he ever break a bone when he used them? I mean sure it would heal after, but it seems like that would limit how much stress he could put on them.

Also Also, yeah I'm kinda nerdy too.

hehe did you just give me a comment wedgie?

I'm not sure how much I can say without spoiling the movie or the game. I've read the script for the game and can answer your Q but I might spoil something that will result in my balls being punched both literally and in a legal sense. hehe

So mmmm..... "no comment" on bone claws besides the fact they look sic

I resent this game just for being on the last cover of EGM and preventing some higher-profile amazing game to be there.
