Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin: Katamari Damacy photo

Doesn't the ending take the wind out the the whole point of the video a little bit? Kinda like the ending to Season 1 of Spaced, only not Season 1 of Spaced?

My wife is looking forward to this game. And the first time I threw a work out ball at my wife while she was playing like you did in this truthful video, I didn't get sex for 3 days. Another reason I hate Katamari.

And I don't mean to be rude, but while NobyNoby Boy was indeed interesting, it wasn't really any more than a fun little tech demo. What I really find depressing is that it took the guy THAT long to make that little game.

If he can't make any more games, will we really miss another NobyNoby Boy?

Silliness aside. I gotta say that I had not heard of the critique thing before the video. But if it's actually true, I can't say that I agree with it.

If the game was intended to be a critique of capitalism and consumption, why disguise it and give it a purpose to continue "taking things"? I mean, the original game actually gave you a purpose to continuing to do what you're doing, rather than just doing it for the sake of doing it. In the same light as being seen as a game of capitalism and consumption, negatively. It can also be seen as the new generation (Prince) attempting to correct the mistakes that the previous generation (King) left behind.
