I laughed when I saw the ending, but until that point, I was totally and utterly confused. In a good way.

Very weird until it came together at the end. And stop complaining about the watchman movie, Kevin Smith who is probably a bigger movie and comic book fan than you has seen it and liked it.

Kevin Smith also liked Revenge of the Sith, and made Dogma. His opinion is worthless.

Great video. I've watched at least five times now. It has yet to fail at making me laugh uncontrollably. I showed it to a bunch of friends at school today and we had it WAY too loud.

Ash's screaming when the baby falls off was great cause they thought it would stop soon, so they didn't bother to turn it down. "ASHLY, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?" is also pretty great when it's cranked up to full volume in a small and quiet cafeteria. :D

Also, Gametrailers is full of assholes. Bring HAWP back to Destructoid, pleeeease?

Technically speaking, no movie ever has any reason to exist. But movies get made. Shit gets adapted. And you should all get on your knees and thank God that the person adapting Watchmen actually loves the source material. You could've gotten "Daredevil," or fucking Nicholas Cage. Instead, you have something that looks impressive, from what I/we can tell.

As for a "reliable translation," when did I ever say that? What you should expect from Snyder's Watchmen is a good movie. It is a movie, after all; not a comic book. Expect it to be such. You're guaranteeing disappointment and much whining, if you want or expect something that resembles the comic book. Snyder's done his best to emulate the design, imagery, and story of the comic, and I think that's all any fan should ever ask for. It's obvious that the two mediums are different, much like games and movies are different. The Dark Knight proves, however, that they can converge brilliantly.

In summary, Hollywood does shit. Stop whining so much and hope that it turns out well, because it will be turning out, one way or the another, approval or no.
