Here's where to get Halo: ODST for the Sgt. Johnson bonus photo

Pre-order a copy of Halo 3: ODST from a participating retailer and you'll be able to play as Sgt. Johnson in Firefight mode. Here's a break down of all the participating retailers around the world offering the Sgt. Johnson bonus so far:

  • United States: Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Wal-Mart
  • France: GAME, FNAC, JV&Co, Virgin, Amazon, Pixmania, Cdiscount, Rue du Commerce
  • Germany: Amazon, GameStop
  • Italy: Gamestop
  • UK: Game, GameStation, Amazon, Play

I think it's a great little bonus to be able to play as Sgt. Johnson. He was there when the war first began on planet Harvest and almost lasted long enough to see the war end.

Take a look at the gallery below to see Johnson going at it in Firefight mode. Are any of you looking forward to playing as him?

To answer your question, Hamza... no, not really. Would rather have had this as an unlockable in the game.

This isn't going to be unlockable... Oh. That means it will be DLC for everyone else. Perfect.

Hey Hamza, why no spoiler warning about Johnson? Also, I don't think I'll be picking up Halo ODST, and playing as Johnson isn't a huge thing for me.

Yeah, don't really care.

I mean, he's just a black dude who's name is stolen from another black dude, specifically one who used to play pro basketball in the NBA and had a reputation for being a dickhead.

So no.

He shouldn't even be in the game! He is away from Earth!

I'm more interested in where the controller pack can be obtained and for how much anyway...

I've grown to detest pre-order bonuses, exclusives, whatever you want to call them. At least it's not a demo. That has to be the stupidest idea I've heard of.

I hate pre-order offers like this. Please make sure you buy this game the minute it comes out or else you won't get access to the full content on the disc. At least this time it's just an extra character and not entire missions.

Another thing I dislike is the fact that only selected stores get them. Lets see, France, Germany, Italy, UK, fine, but what about the rest of europe? Last time I checked, Europe was a bit more than just those countries. Now I don't just have to pre - order, but I also have to import just to get access to all the content?

Oh, by the way, Gamecrazy's given out the same pre-order bonus in America, or at least that's what the Gift With Purchase Update said.

Kinda lame. Wouldn't Master Chief be a far more enticing incentive to preorder?
