It wouldn't be a modern-day racing game without downloadable cars, right? Ferrari lovers will be pleased to know that Need for Speed SHIFT is about to get an all-Ferrari add-on soon. Exclusively hitting Xbox LIVE on February 16 for $10, the "Ferrari Racing Series" DLC contains the following cars:
- 1996 Ferrari F50 GT
- 2005 Ferrari F430 Spider
- 2005 Ferrari FXX
- 2005 Ferrari Superamerica
- 2006 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
- 2006 Ferrari F430 Challenge (Online/Quick event only)
- 2006 Ferrari F430 GTC (Online/Quick event only)
- 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia
- 2008 Ferrari California
- 2008 Ferrari 16M Scuderia Spider
But wait, there's more! 46 new career mode challenges and 125 Gamerpoints are also included in this fine digital package. It's been quite some time since Ferrari has been involved with the Need for Speed brand, so this is cool to see.
As for the Xbox 360 exclusivity, yeah, I don't know. Seems like business as usual, though.

"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I mean fucking seriously, if I wanted an xbox I'd go buy one; pulling stupid dick moves like this isn't gonna make me wanna buy the console anyhow.
The only thing that could make me wanna buy an xbox is mass effect 2, but I have a pc that can play it anyway so fuck you micrococks!
From the tone of your post, I imagine nothing Microsoft could do would make you buy an Xbox, so I don't think you're necessarily the target audience.
I agree on principle though, I think its awkward business for a company to release products on multiple platforms and then hold off DLC content for one of them. There may be reasons (technical, or just from a sales forecast perspective) that would make this seem more reasonable, but I don't see how blaming Microsoft makes any sense when it's a game they didn't publish or develop.
QQ. Crying isn't going to get you anywhere. At least this isn't confirmed as a business deal unlike Sony and their $$ thrown to get Joker in Batman:AA. I doubt you're playing ME2 on your PC, anyhow, given that you were crying about needing to update your rig to play it. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying it's glory as I type this. ;D Obvious post is obvious.
RAWRRAWRMSISTEHSUX.
This, Max, is not a sentence.
They shouldve brought it out on pc
I would agree however this game is a mediocre direct competitor to Forza. I doubt Microsoft thinks this DLC to a yearly produced title is worth trying to have be exclusive. It could be a matter of laziness over money. I may be going out on a limb here but do you think possibly most PS3 games are in a sense a port of 360 titles, considering the more lush look of 360 titles when PS3 exclusives definitely hold their own graphic-wise for the most part. This could cause EA to just place content on the more owned, easier to create for, 360 all because of the extra time to finish it up on the PS3, aside from it probably not selling the best. This isn't like the episodes of GTA4. Something Microsoft did see as being a worthwhile thing to hold down. It didn't really make me want to buy a new 360 (old one took a shit), but it did make me yearn for one. Personally I think exclusive games themselves sell systems not exclusive DLC. We should all agree with that simply, just in hopes that developers don't start getting the wrong idea.
You just don't see that much anymore these days.
