Can't wait for it. I hope the new gamemodes involve some sort of lfd 1 and LFD 2 survivor co-op. Mabye a version of verses that two teams of four survivors see who can make it though the map first.
I'm going to get some great bioshock flashbacks with that golf club.

I've only just caught the L4D2 train, and boy is it a good train. Absolute carnage, on a level that would make even Kratos blush.
Left 4 Dead 2 is sweet. I'm looking forward to this.

Must be getting out of touch with PC gaming Jim, this definitely isn't going to be free for PC. It's the way of things now, even I have come to accept it, the guy who rebelled for 5 years. So much good that did me.
Our group still plays L4D1/2 multiple times a week; I am of course curious about The Passing, but fuck them for killing one of the good characters,

Bill will probably sacrifice himself in an epic battle to buy time for his comrades to escape. And Zoey will be all like "Bill! It doesn't have to be this way! NOOO!" as Francis forces her to move on while quietly shedding a tear. And Louis will be like "oh dayum!!"

it's the 24th of march, and theres still no word of a date, this is what im waiting for in order to renew my gold
that's great and all but... what about l4d1? so far all we've gotten is DLC to explain the DLC for L4D2 and we get one of our characters killed... kinda a backhanded compliment.

As others have said, if this isn't free for PC, it'll be the first time Valve has ever charged for DLC. And do you really think they're going to start now, with this game, especially considering all the rage L4D2's announcement created? Imagine the backlash if they started releasing PDLC as well?

I think I'm going to buy it during the special 1/2 off sale this week even though i have it on 360 already, just because it seems more enjoyable on PC (and soon my MAC!!!)

Is it confirmed that the Witch Bride is a new special infected? And not just a new uncommon common infected?

Its probably nothing more than a reskin. Valve have already announced that the Fallen Survivor is the new uncommon infected, and I doubt Valve would include a new special infected at this point.

You know, I'd love a version of Left 4 Dead that had unlocks. Been playing Bad Company 2 for a while, and it just seems like the only way I'd be able to get back into any sort of Left 4 Dead now. Left 4 Dead 3 might be the first Valve game I don't buy right away.

Call me weird, but I am excited to see the Passing DLC on the original Left 4 Dead. Oh, and one of the original survivors is going to die, none of the new ones, sadly.

900 really? You must be playing on the 360 because on average theres at least 5000 on the computer at almost any given time. Also the DLC is just merging the story.

I honestly can't wait untill this DLC comes out! I just wish we had a release date for it.
I've read a post about this DLC and about one of the original Left 4 Dead characters dieing. On that post it stated that you, as a team, have to choose who will die out of the four original characters. Hopefull this is the case so i can kill louis.( Miss spell? )Stupid louis, always getting in my way when i'm shooting!

That's probably going to be a real achievement. When you think about it, they're going to encourage people to sacrifice themselves.
Also, I heard a really awesome idea from someone in a forum; What if each time you play through "The Passing" it's three different L4D1 survivors... Valve might be making it so that the survivors you meet up with are different every time. It's a cool concept to say the least. If any certain one dies though, I do assume it will be Bill. In all likeliness, Bill is the oldest, and, I'm pretty sure that the original L4D makes a reference to Bill having survived a prior zombie apocalypse (he's the only one that knows what's going on, I'm sure there has to be a few people who have questioned why he knows so much... I personally think that there may be a reference to Vietnam and zombies together...) Anyways... So it's only natural that as the oldest, the one with the least to live for, Bill would give his life to save his teammates, even though he just doesn't like Francis.
